I Dare Ya!

(January 31st. This is for pups only. So anyone with a puppy character on the heroes join in. We may take this to the battlefield actually at some point.)

Mooch grinned standing on the over turned water bucket. His chest was puffed out, his tail wagging furiously.

"The lion was THIS big," he bragged to the crowd surrounding him. He placed his paw high above the ground. "Tani and Scamp were scared but I sure wasn't. We took off, not like I couldn't fight the lion but we were already outnumbering the guy so we decided to go easy on him." He snickered.

"Yeah, yeah, we're pretty cool," he said, "You guys probably wouldn't be able to handle it. But I'm tough so I could. Understand?" Mooch wanted to wait for the girls to swoon over him like Two-Tone used to do. Just watch and wait.

Well, this was a familiar scene. Tripod wasn't particularly impressed by Mooch's tale. If anything it should have just been considered boasting. Regardless, the other pups were probably impressed by the sheepdog's story no matter how untrue it might have been. The three-legged pup scratched his ear for a moment, unsure of how to respond to what had been said. Tripod probably shouldn't have been there anyway, but Dipstick had said he should take a break from training and just hang around camp. Finally Tripod shrugged, or came close to shrugging since he really only had one shoulder, and looked up at Mooch with a questioning look on his face. "How do we know what you're saying is true?" he asked.

Pepper stared up at Mooch with wide eyes. "Wow, that must have been scary! I bet they were glad to have you there to save them." Pepper siad going closer to Mooch. "You'll protect me from scary lions, won't you Mooch?"

Dolly had padded hesitantly to the small group forming- gently squeezing her way into the front to see what all the commotion was about. She caught the end of the story it seemed- a dark grey pup telling some wild tales. She gave him a long calculating stare, small grin on her maw as she flipped her fluffy ear over her shoulder, eying him up openly.

"Well" she said, after watching Pepper move closer, but disregarded it as any serious relationship, "Aren't you just a big hero?" she gave a small laugh, batting her eye lids. The humoring could be caught- if one listened closely or was merely an onlooker, though with flirtatious violet eyes on Mooch, Dolly doubted he'd catch it. Nah- Dolly didn't buy the story. She'd heard those types time and time again, but she'd flirt- it was what she did best after all.

Patch saw the crowd of dogs gathering and walked over to see that mooch was telling a story. About Scamp and him. He didn't really want to hear about Scamp. He had nothing against the pup but he seemed like a show-off.

"That sounds cool Mooch, never thought you would be the kind to take on a lion." Patch said trying not to sound too bored

Bolt was bored as he walked along the camp. He then saw dogs gathering around Mooch, he decided to investigate. Bolt padded up to the group and said, "Hey guys....what's going on?.....,"

Everyone's comments fell on Mooch's ears. That dog. That pup who had called him a hero. Mooch stared, mouth open. She. Was. Gorgeous. His til stopped wagging as he stared down at her. Ignoring Pepper, Mooch shook her off of his paw. "Yeah, yeah, sure."

Leaping down, he approached the dog. He smiled, mouth still a bit open. "Uhhh, yeah," he said, "I'm a hero! A big hero! I fought a lion!" He lifted his head proudly. "I'm even a friend of the Great Prince! Yeah, I'm the greatest hero ever!" He grinned. "So, cutie, if you're scared you can cuddle up with me!"

(ooc: Awwww.... oh well.....thanks anyway )

Dolly gave a small giggle on the dark grey dog's first comment, and his initial attention he'd given upon seeing her. Oh yes- Dolly enjoyed attention quite a lot, and though she didn't give indications to it- she most likely enjoyed that he'd ignored the spotted pup to address her. Tilting her head lightly, she responded promptly as he finished.

"Oh I'll be sure to give you a call." she said with a wink and a small laugh. Pup trotted past him, tail running under his chin gently, as she circled around his rear, coming up his side and rubbing her head against his neck briefly and emitting "Dolly." softly as an introduction, before seating herself back where she'd started although nothing had occurred.

Pepper felt her cheeks glow red with anger. She hated to admit it but, she was start crush on Mooch. And who did this snotty rich pup think she was? "Um excuse me, Mooch, can I have a word with you?"

"Oooooh boy!" Mooch's tongue hung out of his mouth and if they could, hearts would have appeared over his head. This pup was a knockout! When her tail run under his chin he nearly passed out. He watched her walk by, grinning like a fool. His tail wagged furiously. "Dolly...hi..."

Looking over his shoulder at Pepper he waved her away with a big paw. "Not now, Pep," he said, "I gotta put my moves on this pup!" Mooch scrambled next to Dolly and grinned. "My name's Mooch! Nice to meet ya, Dolly."

((ooc:I'm hoping someone will challenge Mooch's story promoting the title of this thread, a dare or something XD))

Tripod's remark had been ignored. How typical. Stepping forward, the three-legged pup decided it was time to challenge the sheepdog's story. "If you were so brave, why didn't you actually fight that lion? For that matter, how do we even know you're telling the truth?" Tripod asked boldly.

((ooc: Missed that Tripod, I am a dummy XD))

Mooch's ears perked as he turned around growling low at Tripod.

"Tripod!" He pleaded, "Shut up! Hot chick! Noticing anything?" He pointed a paw at Dolly but quickly let it drop as he grinned at Dolly. He turned back to Tripod, eyes blazing. Was he challenging his story? This little mutt? He growled.

"You calling me a liar, spotty?!" Mooch cried, "I didn't fight the lion because I didn't NEED to. It wasn't necessary! And...and I didn't wanna mess him up too bad!" His tail had stopped its wagging. "Its the truth!"

Dolly played ignorant for the first little exchange, though ended up rolling her eyes and appearing quite bored when Mooch's attention had obviously wandered from her. With that she turned her head to Pepper- offering her a genuinely kind smile.

"Boys." she scoffed lightly, a joking tone. Though Dolly hadn't known of Pepper's feelings for Mooch. If anything she assumed they were friends, so she wasn't entirely at fault- unless being a flirt was considered a crime.

"Really now?" Tripod asked, raising an eyebrow as he did. He was surprised no one else had called Mooch out on how ridiculous the story sounded. Still, Tripod wasn't one to believe stories like that easily. Mooch had a tendency to exaggerate, so perhaps this was no exception. "For all we know you could have made the whole thing up." he remarked.
