Uh just so you know. MASH is a "Mobile Army Surgical Hospital". I.E: The medic. I think the tent your looking for is the Mess tent. XD Unless of course your cooking meal for the invalids.

What's Wrong With Me?
Forgive me for pointing out such a small thing, and it doesn't really even have to do with the thread but ah... Mrs. Jumbo? Your banner is eleven pixels too large. The max height for banners here is 200 pixels. I just thought I'd point that out.

That's no excuse. You've been here long enough to know that dates are required for threads. Just because you decided to leave for a bit doesn't mean you're exempt from putting dates on your threads.

Everyone forgets dates and makes mistakes no matter how long they've been here, Ray. Heck, I forgot the date for my latest thread if I remember right.

Tojo, I'd like to ask something very important. ...Are you allergic to commas? I'm sorry, this has been bugging me for a while and I feel like I really need to point this out. It wouldn't kill you to use a comma now and again. For example, if I may borrow a sentence from your latest post,
That, quite honestly, is painful to look at. Now, with some commas (and a couple of other edits)...
There. See? It doesn't look nearly as cluttered by run-on sentences. I'm not going to play grammar teacher for you forever, and I kind of doubt you'll listen to me in the first place, but I might as well try to explain the edits I made. Without commas, you have what is called a run-on sentence. That means the sentence goes on for much longer than it should, uninterrupted by anything. Commas are added for when you need to pause between thoughts. Not as effective as a period, which would end the thought, but still necessary in some cases.
Look, I'm not trying to pick on you. I'm legitimately trying to help you here. Whether or not you accept it is another matter entirely.

To ask me if I'm allergic to spelling correctly isn't helping me. I understand your trying to help but I've been writing like this for a while it's kind of a habit now I don't do it to annoy people with my horrible writing and I don't have an excuse for why I do this other then it being a terrible habit I'm having trouble breaking. Half the time I'm not even sure where to put comma's sometimes.
I realize I'm making these mistakes more then once but it's not purposely done I assure you.

1. It's not a spelling issue, dear. It's a grammar issue. There's a difference.
2. How any of your English teachers have let you get away with this I will never know. I'm willing to bet that a good chunk of English teachers anywhere would jump down your throat if they saw your writing. I know the ones I had in high school certainly would.
3. If you're having trouble, I suggest looking up grammar rules online. It can be a big help.

If you're aware it's a problem, you know you could always ask for help, right? I'm sure there's a bunch of people on here who, if you asked, would be willing to proofread your posts for a while and show you where to put the commas until you get the hang of it for yourself.

I must agree with Tojo that this statement is not helpful in the slightest.
Everything else, yes. But opening with what could be easily interpreted as an insult is hardly going to help your case.
That being said, Tojo, I'd be happy to help you out.

Here's a quick lesson about commas. First, you need to know what counts as a sentence. Independent clauses/sentences - are a group of words with a subject and verb. Some examples: - Tojo likes birds. <--- a simple sentence.
- Tojo likes birds, and Afu Almazi hates birds. <--- a compound sentence (a sentence made up of two independent clauses or simple sentences) joined by a conjunction (and, but, for, nor, or, so, yet)
- Tojo likes birds; Afu Almazi hates them. <--- a compound sentence joined by a semicolon.
- Whenever Tojo says he likes birds, Afu gags. <--- a sentence with a dependent clause/fragment. Unlike an independent clause, a dependent clause can not stand by itself ('Whenever Tojo says he likes birds' is not a sentence!), so it can be joined by a mere period.
Ok, whenever two independent clauses are joined by a comma, that's called a comma splice: - Tojo likes birds, Afu Almazi hates birds.
^ That's a big no-no. Instead, we use conjunctions (and, but, for, nor, or, so, yet), semicolons ( , and transitional words + a semicolon. - Tojo likes birds, but Afu Almazi hates birds. <--- joined by conjunction.
- Tojo likes birds; Afu Almazi hates birds. <--- joined by semicolon.
- Tojo likes birds; however, Afu Almazi hates birds. <--- joined by transitional words + a semicolon.
You're not going to get this overnight (I certainly didn't), but you'll get it if you practice writing with them.
