Brave Characters : Merida

Hey peeps, so just an announcement about our newest Disney Princess, Merida:

Again, why a picture? Because I can.

Anyway, SEVERAL of you have expressed interest in the fiery haired lass so we're going to be holding a contest of sorts for her. You'll submit a sample post when the film characters are allowed to be claimed (which is a week or two into September) and we'll choose who seems best.

That being said, I'd like your opinion on whether you think staff should choose our DWoW Merida or we should hold a public vote. I'm just curious as to what you guys think.

Also are their any other characters from Brave you think we should hold a vote for? And would you all like to maybe PM me with the characters you'd like so we don't have a mad dash for Brave characters? I just don't want someone to miss out because they signed on too late. I'll keep you guys in mind. I have seen the film so I don't mind being PM'd spoilers. Maybe give me an idea or two.

Just note if you PM me this one character I want desperately...well...I will cry XD

Just also know this doesn't guarantee you get this character this just gives me an idea of who we need a vote for and who we don't. But Merida's getting a vote regardless.

i think the staff should pick. To be honest, she is a huge character and i think it would stray from drama if the staff chose

Honestly, I'd like a Brave character, but I have more than enough already...

I agree with Marie - staff choosing sounds like a good idea to me.

Staff choosing, please. It is all the way more professional, and the whole people voting thing doesn't appeal to me that much.

Yeah, letting the staff choose would probably be better than a whole lot of drama being started and, as Zukki said, more professional.

If I were to make a suggestion, could we possibly do a vote for Mor'du as well?

I agree on both statements. The staff should definitely vote, and the whole Mor'du issue.

Okay, so here's what we're going to do. I'll have anyone who wants Merida & Mor'du post in an announcement thread in like a week or two depending on what everyone thinks. Then you send me a sample post and the staff will evaluate it and then choose based on that. At this point all of the staff have seen Brave so feel free to throw anything at us. In addition to a sample post I'd like to see some ideas you have for the character and -without giving any spoilers away- a bit of "history" on Mor'Du. Those who have seen the film will know what I mean.

Also does anyone have an issue with me staking my claim to my Brave character now? I seriously need this guy and want to make sure everyone thinks it's fair if I place an advanced claim on him.

Alright so we've all established that I have a SERIOUS problem XD Okay I placed an advanced claim on the guy. Does anyone know of any other characters from Brave who might need a poll besides Merida and Mor'du?

Not exactly relating to that, but I have a question. Would Merida's brothers - since they all look practically identical - be claimed/played as a single character the way, for example, Si and Am were, or would they be seperate because there's three of them instead of just two?

Not that I have any intention of playing them myself, of course; this is just to clarify in case anyone else was interested.
