My best guess would be that those names came from the book the movie was based on. Of course, I could be horribly mistaken so forgive me if I am. I haven't actually read the book in question, so I really don't know.

In the original book by Dodie Smith, there were only 97 pups; but I still don't see Pongo or any of the other adults on that list. Lucky and Cadpig, too, both existed in the original book - which, to the best of my knowledge, didn't have a comprehensive list of the other pups - and neither of them were on that list either. I think Lady must be talking about something else here.

Ah, my mistake then. I'd only skimmed the list, so I missed Lucky and Cadpig not being on there.

That list came from my copy of "The Starlight Barking." Also by Dodie Smith. So, it's relative application to the Disney Cannon is questionable at best. But it was the only list I could actually grab and toss up. It does omit Pongo, Perdi, Prince, and Missis.
Mind you, my copy of both of Smith's works came from around the time the live action films came out and where companion pieces. So...there may be a little cross franchising going on there. Would not surprise me knowing the cannon issues between the films, the book, the live action films, and the TV show. But It was the only list I had that had the Disney logo next to it.

I don't think all fifteen of the original puppies were ever named in the movie. I know Lucky, Patch, Rolly, Freckles (at least in Patch's London Adventure), and Pepper were for sure in the movie. Cadpig was named in the series, as were Two-Tone, Dipstick, and Wizzer. Fidget and Jewel have always been debatable in my mind, since they were a part of the fifteen in the live action movie but not the animated movie.

I don't think they where either. My list of the original 15 came from the Internet/my own conclusions. Both Jewel and Fidget where in all the lists I could find doing a brief search.
Sometimes, the best one can do in the absence of solid information is take a hypothesis based upon the information available and open it for questioning. As the old quote goes: "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

Ah... Good old Sherlock Holmes. I know that quote well. though mainly because it was a theory used in one of my favorite games
I think Jewel and Fidget are mainly counted because they're featured in so many of the books that tie in with the movie universe. That's partially why I put them up as 'debatable'.

Just a question, where did Spotty, Purdy, and Thunder come from? o3o Just wondering, xD. Totally forgot about Jewel and Fidget. They don't seem to be offical 15 though, even though they say on the Disney Wiki that they were both mentioned in the series, so that confirms them as at least... you know, puppies. XD

I'm so sorry that I keep filling this page up... ;3; But, I'm guessing there is a lot of history on Dr. Facilier? x'D Or I'll go back into the history threads, and start looking things up.

A fair bit, yeah. But now that she's back, the best person for you to ask would be Clopin; she was the one who played Facilier on here in the first place.
Come to think of it, I... dunno if her original claim on him still holds now that she's reappeared? I guess you'll have to agree on that between the two of you.

Okay, I sent it to her as a PM so there's no link to it... I'll just quote it here instead: As promised; brief sumarry of Vitani's history in the war so far. (Well, I say brief... XD; ) If you need more detail on any of the points, just tell me, and I'll see about finding links to the relevant threads. And... well, you might think she's been portrayed as being a bit soft so far, in comparison to her movie appearance. Um, just as a forewarning. Vitani started off in the war as a villain under her first player; a loyal soldier of Scar who had a friendly rivalry with Kiara (who was kidnapped by Zira prior to the war, long story). But after the two of them beat up and captured Angel, who had sneaked into the Outlands as a spy, she changed players; and under her second player, apparently came to regret what she had done and ran away to join the heroes instead. While with the heroes, she established friendships with Angel, Mooch and Scamp, as well as - I believe - throwing herself into a few battles. Once it reached Scar's ears that she was fighting with his enemies, he sent Shere Khan to bring her back to the Outlands, where Zira beat her harshly. She was held prisoner in the elephant graveyard, guarded by Kovu, until Mooch, Angel and Lady sneaked in to rescue her; and Kovu, fearing that Zira would do still worse to Vitani if she remained, let them go. At... some point, I know Vitani entered into a romantic relationship with Scamp after she helped him deal with the revelation that Angel was his sister, but I don't remember exactly when; I know she was crushed when he died (but PLEASE don't look up that thread, it's an embarassment to me -_-"). I know she was almost killed by Angel after the latter had a temporary - and violent - breakdown, but was found by the medics in time to heal. I don't think much of significance happened to her for a while after this. I know she met Scamp again after he was resurected - although I don't think they officially picked up their relationship so far -; tried to organise a scouting mission to Nottingham that didn't go anywhere; caught Kiara spying on the Pridelands but didn't turn her in; and was present for Kovu's defection to the heroes, but that's about all recently, best I recall. At least, until she and Kiara found Kovu's dead body in the Pridelands. While Kiara automatically blamed Simba for the death, Vitani was less sure; but still decided she couldn't stay with Simba's army until she knew the truth. The two of us did have a plan for Kiara and Vitani to withdraw from their respective armies to enter into an uneasy alliance to bring Kovu's murderer to justice - so I've been alluding to that in one or two of my posts - that never actually got anywhere, as her player hasn't been on since. A couple things of note that her previous player established that I didn't mention: For a long time Vitani has believed she is Scar's daughter; I'm not sure if she still believes that, or if she's found out the truth by this point. I think it was established that Zira was her mother by birth, but her father was a rogue. Also, point of note, her last player made water Vitani's biggest fear. Vitani and Kiara have met on the battlefield at least twice since Vitani's defection; Kiara hasn't forgiven her for running to her father and felt angry and betrayed by her friend's defection. She also claims that Vitani doesn't deserve to wear Scar's mark - the lingering Scar over her eye that she recieved when Zira beat her. Um, hope some of that helped? ^^ Coming in a bit late here but Vitani also created a bit of an issue for herself when she tangled with the original Leroy and broke his ribs so he couldn't escape the flood and drowned. So 627 in retaliation sought her out in the Pridelands and broke HER ribs. I'm not sure about his current player but while I had him I think he might still bear some ill will toward her.

Yep, I know this Kovu, I saw that in one of the old Vitani's threads. ^-^
Oh, I didn't know that Clopin used to have Dr. Facilier as a character. ^^; I wanted to use a villain, and I decided to choose him because I've had former experience playing him, and I didn't know who else to choose. I suppose if Clopin still wants him, I could take back my claim.

So uh....Scamp. Whats the deal behind him. Has anyone expressed interest in playing him? I've been debating off and on putting a claim in. I love Scamparoo, and I think I can play him pretty well. But there is ALOT of history there and I'm not sure whether or not it would be a good idea for me to pick him up. Considering I already have a good few L&TT chars.
