"Yup." Wilbur smiled and said it with such certainty that it would be obvious that he liked admitting it. "Or at least, was from the future, now I'm not sure what year it is." he turned to her before frowning. "You aren't going to freak out are you? Because i have had a few people freak out because I told them that. Techniqually, I am not supposed to tell anyone, but I could care less...rules are made to be broken after all."

"Rules were made to be followed." She said dryly. Shanti was the one who was more like an adult than a kid. Plus, the last time she broke a rule it ended badly. "And no, I won't freak out." She said uncertainly. He seemed so sure of himself. Maybe it wasn't a lie. Or maybe he just really believed he was from the future. As for Shanti, she was still on the fence about the whole future thing. She really wanted to believe it, though, she liked Wilbur. He reminded her somewhat of Mowgli, fun and carefree...everything Shanti wasn't. "Maybe they just need time?" She said with a shrug. "Being from the future is a lot to take in afterall."

"Oh yeah, believe me it took my dad a looong time to finally accept it. I actually had to drag him to the future for him to believe it. Not to mention he broke one of my time machine." he sighed with a smirk. "But yeah, i guess you're right about it taking some time." He frowned at the mention of rules being made to be followed. "Not all the time, i mean if you followed all the rules, you wouldn't have any fun. True you wouldn't get in trouble but its not as fun."

"You...went dragged your dad to the future?" She asked in confusion. This whole time travel thing was confusing. "And he broke a time machine?" She asked. Yup, definitely going to cause her headaches in the near future. "This is what I mean by getting used to it." She said with a laugh. She frowned a bit at his comment. She doubted they'd agree on this, and Shanti accepted that. She was different from other kids, she actually liked rules and all the other stuff kids thought were boring. "I'm sure bring your dad to the future was against the rules." She said with a small smirk. "And he wound up breaking your time machine...thingy." A small smile cracked at that. She really didn't know much about machinery at all.
"So what's the future like anyways?" She asked in curiosity, deciding it was best to leave the rules discussion behind her. She didn't want to start a fight after all.

"It's a long story and it would take more than an hour to explain it, you might get more headaches due to me explaining it." Wilbur smiled at the fact she changed the subject. "The futures way different from here. It's really a lot more...greener and filled with big buidlings taller than the sky. It's a colorful place always filled with noise and bustle." Now that he thought about it, he was starting to get a little homesick.
"I do miss it, but i like this place to." He replied. "It's quieter, and I have a whole new family. and even though it might not be the best place for me to make it...I think i have found people i want to protect."

She laughed a bit when he said she’s probably only get more headaches. It was probably true. She was quickly learning the time travel was just one big headache. “Well, that place sounds amazing.” She said, trying to picture it in her head. What she got was vastly different from her own home. But, it was the future. She wasn’t exactly expecting it to be similar. “I’d love to see it one day.” She said off-handedly. It sounded amazing, but if it was as far off in time as she thought it was, she probably wouldn’t live long enough.
She felt bad for him, though. Even if he said he liked it, he was stranded here with no way back to his home or family. That must have been tough. True, if she wanted to go back to her mother it would be a long trek, but she was still in the same time. “Who’s that?” She asked when he said he’d found people he’d like to protect.

"Well besides my family?" Wilbur asked with a smile. "Everyone here, and yes that includes you." did he really just say that? What the heck was wrong with him today? This was just getting too difficult. "I mean to say is that you all are like a second family to me and i would hate for anyone else to die because i made a simple mistake."

She giggled at his comment. Really, she felt flattered. But she doubted she'd see action any time soon. She wanted to stay away from the battlefield as possible for as long as she could and that was that. It was inevitable, of course there was a chance that there would be an ambush, but hopefully when that happened she'd be ready. But she understood what he meant about everyone being like a second family. She felt that way about her entire village, whether they were family or not. She was beginning to feel that way about the rest of the heroes. Then something caught her attention. "Anyone else?" She asked curiously.
