Together Again

Vitani frowned as Scamp continued to evade the subject. Surely it could be that bad, could it? She knew Scamp well enough to know that, whatever he was hiding, was something he was either ashamed of or it would change something in their relationship. She looked at Mooch for a moment, her expression unreadable and then Scamp's next statement caused Vitani to turn and LoK at him with shock written across her face.

Patch? Patch had been the one to convince Rafiki? That couldn't possibly be true...why would Patch want Scamp returned from the dead? He couldn't possibly have done it out of remorse, it was far too late for that, so there had to be another reason.

"No way." Vitani shook her head in disbelief "That's...that's..." she trailed off.

It couldn't have been Patch. It just couldn't. Maybe it had been another dalmatian, she tried to convince herself, it had to have been another dalmatian

Mooch gritted his teeth. "That little creep is IN the pridelands?" Mooch said with a howl, "He killed you! Why would he...?" His eyes narrowed, gritting his teeth together tighter. His paws were basically buried in the dirt it would seem after he was done with them. His tail whipped back and forth and a growl issued from his maw.

"I don't care if he...no offense if he DID bring you back, man," Mooch said, "I'm happy someone brought you back but that little...insect killed you and turned his back on us and Angel! ON ANGEL! After all she did for him, that pretty little girl got her heart shattered. Why I aughta..." Mooch was panting, chest thudding up and down. His crush on the pretty pom was beginning to show a little. A schoolboy crush but a crush none the less.

"I'm sorry," Mooch said, "But if you are talking about that little..." He bit his lip and censored himself again. "...THING, then I wouldn't forgive him if he turned me into a deer." Statement make no sense? Check. His friends didn't know about his desires to be with Gurri and Geno and to please Bambi.

"You know it, Mooch." Odd, Scamp had been under the impression that the sheepdog hated Angel, but the mutt didn't waste time dwelling on it. He was just grateful that Mooch wasn't any more willing to forgive the dalmatian than he was. "I was watching that creep while I was..." paw jerked skyward, and Scamp didn't elaborate on what he meant by that. "...you know... the only reason he did this was to win Angel's favour again - and she's falling for it, too!" he added desperately, his tone implying that it wouldn't be very long before he roped the pair of them into helping to break the pom and the dal up.

"I'm know I'm not forgiving him either, even if he - wait, what?" Incredulous look was written all across his muzzle as Mooch's words actually sunk in. "A deer?" he repeated, staring first at Mooch, then at Vitani, wondering if she was as bewildered as him by the other canine's words.

Vitani could only give Scamp a look that clearly meant she was in the same boat as he was. She looked at Mooch, bewildered. She had never known that he wanted to change into a deer...although when she thought about it, it made perfect sense. The Great Prince had adopted him plus Geno and Gurri were his siblings, all of them deer. The longer she thought about it, the more sense it made.

"It's about Geno and Gurri...isn't it?" Vitani asked sympathetically.

She looked between her two best friends, it seemed that there was a lot of things that had happened since the three of them had been together as a group. It seemed like so long ago for her.

Hound would have blushed if he could. There was a scowl permanently glued to his maw as he sheepishly rubbed the back of his head with a large paw. "That's...uh...not important right now," Mooch quickly spat out, "What's important is that Scamp's alive again and we're never gonna let him get hurt again. NEVER." Yellow eyes narrowed softly.

"I'm still gonna rip that little devil apart," Mooch said with a growl, "He's trying to get to Angel's good side? We should rough him up, Tani! Rip him apart!" Slamming a paw into the ground the sheepdog snorted roughly. Pissed off pup was pissed off.

"I mean...he brought you back to life...that's amazing but we still...we still..." Mooch sniffled softly and grabbed Scamp around the neck. "Why didn't we think to ask the monkey? We should have tried all we could to bring ya back buddy!"

Scamp opened his mouth to reply, closed it again, then repeated the motion a couple more times before finally asking "...yeah, why didn't you?" It had taken the request of his worst enemy to get him brought back, and now that he thought about it, Scamp was honestly feeling a bit put-out that neither of his two friends had considered it before that. He scratched a bit uncomfortably at his bare neck, idly wondering what it would take to get his collar back for the briefest moment.

"Why do you care about Angel now?" the scruffy mutt suddenly asked, after a moment's pause. Young male really didn't get that. "You hated her, didn't you?" That wasn't to say he disagreed with the idea of roughing the dalmatian up at all - far from it -, but he did wonder why it mattered to Mooch whether Patch was on his sister's good side or not.

Mooch frowned sheepishly, running his paw over his shoulder in a nervous twitch. He sighed, lowered his head and brought yellow eyes up on Scamp. "Sorry dude," he said quietly, "Like until you and Geno came back...well...I thought dead meant dead." He whimpered slightly. He felt terribly guilty. Why had he not tried to bring Scamp back? WHY? It seemed like a good idea now that Patch had achieved it. He sighed and lowered his head even father feeling like the baddest kind of friend. He'd abandoned Vitani for Gurri and Geno and now that he realized it, he'd abandoned Scamp too.

When the subject changed to Angel, his head perked and his eyes narrowed. "I...I..." He would never admit his mini crush on the femme to her brother. "Its not important!" Mooch stammered out, "This isn't about me! This is about you!"
