(July 1st, open to Bambi, Mooch and Gurri.)
"Gosh I hope she likes these." Mooch trotted happily towards Gurri's tent, ears flopping at his side. He spoke through a mouthful of African wild flowers, lovely white things which he could not identify but were pretty enough to go into Gurri's hair. He had a grin on his face. Half grown dog was smitten and he couldn't figure out why.
Spending time with Gurri had given him a prospective on his heart. He missed her when she had left and now he was making up for lost time.
He just hoped that Bambi wasn't visiting his daughter at the same time.
Mooch walked up to the tent and planted his rear and the flowers on the ground. "Oh Gurri! Your prince is here!" He called with a chuckle.

"I feel like I haven't see you in a while," Bambi said softly, leaning down to press his nose against his daughter's cheek. It seemed that his duties as animal trainer were keeping a tight grip on his personal life. But, like Mooch, the light brown buck was determind to make up for lost time with Gurri. Straightening back out (or at least as much as he could without tearing the top of the tent with his horns) the young prince opened his mouth to suggest something, only to hear his voice. That rotten, lazy sheepdog. Now, Bambi respected every soldier, as long as they showed him respect in return. But Mooch. He was an exception to that rule. The grey-furred canine was rude, disrespectful, abnoxious, and was definitly to close to Gurri.
If Bambi was a dog, he would have growled. If he was a cat, he would have hissed. If he was a bear he would have roared. But, unfortunatly, he was a deer. All that he could do was slit his throught with a flick of the antler, and the light brown buck didn't want him gone that bad. At least not right now. "Her prince?" The brown-eyed forest dweller grumbled, eyes narrowed at he stared at Mooch.
Eying the white flowers the grey-furred canine had brought his daughter, Bambi was immediatly flashed back to his childhood. He had been so deeply in love with Faline, always by her side and tending to her every need. Once, he had brought Faline flowers, although, they had been pink. The perfect color to match her beautiful features. Although, Mooch wasn't loyal, caring, or devoted. He would never be able to support Gurri!

Gurri had been relaxing, for once, when Bambi had found her. The storm that had lasted the entire previous month had made interacting with some of the others difficult. Especially Mooch. Her ears drooped just a little as she thought about him. They really hadn't had much of an opportunity to spend time together again after her supposed return, and this fact bothered the antlered doe. Gurri had wanted to make up for lost time with Mooch. It was all she could think of to do since Geno was dead and her time with her father had been strained a bit. She supposed that was only natural, though. The adult deer had taken on the duties of the animal trainer, so she assumed he would have been busy. Yet there he was with her right then. She hadn't bothered to get up from her spot on the ground, finding that she was far too comfortable laying there in the grass beneath her tent, and had been about to say that maybe she should stick where she was when she heard an all too familiar voice.
"Oh Gurri! Your prince is here!"
Mooch! Gurri couldn't help but grin with delight when she heard his voice. It had been far too long since they had been able to be together. For a few beats, she had all but forgotten the presence of Bambi. Instead she intended on going out to greet Mooch. The antlered doe rose from her spot and, momentarily forgetting that Princesses were meant to be graceful, bounded through the flaps of her tent to greet Mooch. In order to keep herself from crashing in to the sheepdog, she had to make an abrupt stop. What ended up happening was her faltering and falling with an undignified 'doof!' before her friend. When Gurri realized how foolish her exit must have looked, her ears pressed back a bit and she offered a sort of sheepish look to Mooch.
"Eh heh... hi, Mooch..." Gurri greeted. The hint of sheepishness in her tone probably was more obvious than she would have liked. Even if it was, though, Gurri didn't particularly care right then. She was just happy to see Mooch again.

"Hey Gurri! I brought these for you-oh god..." Mooch's ears dropped as the flower fell from his maw as he saw Bambi. Boy was he in trouble. Mooch grinned sheepishly, staring up at Bambi. "Uh...hullo...s-sir..." He whimpered, "I was just...uh...just bringing Gurri some flowers because she...uh...she's pretty like a flower? Heh. Um...that's not what I meant to say..." He facepalmed, placing his paw over his face.
Why did I say that? He asked himself, Good job stupid.

Glaring down at the sheepdog, Bambi had to use all of his willpower not to tell the dog to get lost. He just made Gurri so happy, the light-brown buck just couldn't snatch that away from her! If his father hadn't let him see Faline, then lord knows what and where Bambi would be. His whole life revolved around her, if something ever happened to Faline, he didn't know what he'd do. Looking rather unimpressed, the brown-eyed deer stepped father outside, so that he was standing next to Gurri. The forest dweller opened his mouth to ask Mooch why he was here when he answered that for him
"I was just...uh...just bringing Gurri some flowers because she...uh...she's pretty like a flower? Heh. Um...that's not what I meant to say..."[/i]
Body immediatly growing stiff, Bambi's brown eyes widened, then immediatly narrowed back again. Face a hard frown, the light-brown buck let out a huff of air. "So my daughter is ugly to you?" The young prince growled, already infuriated with the sheepdog. What did Gurri even see in this guy? He was an obvious idiot, always waltzing around in his stupidity.

Pretty like a flower...?
Gurri felt her cheeks turn just a bit red at those words. He'd tried to say something else, yes, but Gurri appreciated the compliment. It was such a nice thing to say. But of course, Bambi had gone into defensive father mode and didn't seem like he was about to get out of it. Gurri rose to her hooves at last and stepped a bit closer to Mooch before facing Bambi again. "W-Wait, I'm sure he didn't mean that father! He's trying to be nice!" Gurri explained. She'd been quick to jump to Mooch's aid, just as she would have done for Geno if he'd found himself in the same situation.
"Please... let him say what he wants to say." she said. In all actuality, Gurri was rather curious as to why Mooch had decided to come out right then. It had been a while since they had been together, that was certain, but there had to be some reasoning behind his sudden desire to do so and the compliment. Gurri did have her suspicions, though. She was inclined to believe that perhaps... well, they were growing older. A boy and a girl growing up... friendship would change to something else, wouldn't it? Gurri didn't know for certain. She did know, though, that she liked Mooch quite a lot. That much wasn't going to change just because her father disapproved of it.

Mooch would have blushed if it was physically possible for a dog to blush. Ears drooped softly, a sheepish grin appearing on his maw, "I didn't mean she wasn't pretty. Uh...quite the opposite." His tail wagged as Gurri stood up for him, happy that she didn't think he was a complete doof. He planted his rear on the ground and nudged the flowers close to Gurri.
"I wanted to take a walk," he said softly, "If that was alright...its a really pretty, albeit wet day outside. I thought maybe you wanted to go to the big baobab tree past the watering hole. There's a hole I found inside the tree, its just like a clubhouse!" Excited puppy was excited, grinning up at Gurri. He wanted to spent time with her. Hopefully not when he stick in the mud father was there.

Ears flattened against his skull, Bambi stared at Mooch, trying to resist the urge to kick the sheepdog in the ribs. So you're attracted to my daughter, huh? The light brown buck thought, a slight frown on his face. Well, we'll see about that! Grunting, the brown-eyed deer intently listened to what the sheepdog was saying, soemthing about a hole in a tree. "Tunnels and holes aren't safe, they could collapse at any moment, you should know that, Mooch," He growled, staring down at the lazy canine with intense chocolate brown eyes. "Especially with all of the past rain, it could easily be susceptible to mudslides or erosion!" He commented, instantly against the idea. Although, a walk didn't sound dangerous or harmful. And, honestly, no matter how much the forest-dweller wanted to, he couldn't find any reason to keep his daughter from going.
Sighing slightly, Bambi nodded his head. "I guess she can go on a walk though, can't find any reason why not..." He stated, lowering his voice on the last part. Honestly, the brown-eyed buck didn't want his daughter going anywhere with Mooch, but he didn't want to be too strict or overprotective, although, that was quite hard after Geno's death.

The elegant doe observed the scene before finally allowing her presence know. She casted an encouraging glance to Mooch before sweetly nudging Bambi. "They are just kids Bambi, let them play.. You're being too hard. Don't you remember you when you were a fawn?" She stuck her tongue out teasingly, before arching her neck to nuzzle Gurri. "I say they should be allowed to play, I think they are old enough to know what's safe or not" the graceful doe began to circle the three, a faint pained limp in her left hind. Faline's azure irises glimmered as she glanced at her daughter and Mooch. She didn't mind the dog liking her, she thought it was quite adorable. Besides, he looked a lot like a deer.
Downy soft tail flicked through the air as she inspected the sooty colored canine, sniffing at him before a sweet scent entered her nostrils, "Flowers? How sweet," Faline smiled rather approvingly before totting to Bambi. Her hip pressed against his as she brushed her lips against his ear, "If you are so worried, why not follow them?" she giggled a bit before casting her lovely orbs at her daughter, she was so proud but she still missed her son.

Mooch smiled up at Faline; it was a good thing the mother didn't mind him playing with Gurri. His ears lifted slightly as she sniffed him. Gah, it was a good thing he'd bathed and rolled in some flowers before she smelled him. Otherwise he'd have smelled like an old sneaker. He stuck his chest out and grinned brightly, yellow orbs focusing up at Faline. His eyes dropped when she suggested that Bambi follow them, his eye twitching slightly.
"Uh...sure...sir..." He mumbled, "You can...uh...come along..." He chuckled nervously. "You too Miss. If you guys want...or you could stay here...either way. Heh..."

Gurri simply allowed Faline to nuzzle her, having missed the feeling of being embraced in such a way by her mother, and took in what she was saying. She blinked a couple of times in surprise when her mother said that it was okay for her to go with Mooch. At least one of her parents seemed okay with it. "Thank you, mother." she breathed. It was a good thing that Faline wasn't quite as protective as Bambi seemed to be. She could hardly blame Bambi for it, but she did wish her father would be a little more understanding of her friendship with Mooch. The Great Prince had understood. He'd even taken Mooch on as a student. But that was the past. Gurri was sure no one wanted to dwell on it.
"Come on, Mooch. Let's go see that tree of yours." Gurri said. However, as she lifted a hoof to begin walking off to explore with Mooch, she caught what Faline had suggested. Namely Bambi coming along with them. Gurri's ears dropped back slightly and she could have sworn she felt her eye twitch slightly. Antlered young doe wasn't quite thrilled with the idea of her father coming along with her and Mooch.
"Mother, I'm not a little fawn anymore. Mooch and I will be okay." she said in an attempt to reassure her parents. That, however, seemed as if it wasn't going to succeed. After all, Bambi was acting quite protective and she didn't know how insistent her mother would be on the idea.

Bambi's eyes lit up with delight when he spotted Faline approaching them, his little stub of a tail wagging, slightly. "Faline!" The young prince exclaimed, leaning forwards to embrace his mate. It had felt like it had been so long since he had been able to see beautiful Faline's face. He missed her so much! There honestly was nothing in the entire world better than being with her. Just the pure sight of his beautiful mate made him feel as if he was a fawn again, young and free.
At the suggestion of Bambi following his children, he couldn't help but smile. That was what he loved so much about her. She was beautiful, smart, kind, gentle, and could be devious when needed! Smiling, the light brown buck was about to respond when he realized that Mooch and Gurri had heard. Frowning slightly, he looked over to his daughter and the sheepdog, not exactly wanting to follow them in secret if they already knew he would be there. But when Mooch suggested they went with them, the young prince's eyebrows raised in intrest. Looks like he passed that test... The choclate-brown-eyed deer thought, pleasantly surprised.
"Mooch thinks it would be a good idea for us to go, and, since he's the guest, we'll do what he wants," Bambi stated smugly to his daughter, feeling a bit bad about being so strict with her, but he didn't have much of a choice! What if something happened to Gurri! Mooch surley wouldn't be able to help her!

Gurri did realize Bambi had a point. Mooch seemed to want to go along with the idea, and since that was the case then the older buck would definitely have to come along. She left a soft sigh escape her and closed her eyes as she prepared to agree. It was beginning to look like if she didn't agree then she would have to put up with him, anyway. "All right... I suppose it would be best if you did come along. But you have to promise to let us have some space." Gurri said. She didn't want Bambi intruding on her and Mooch's space entirely. After all, that was the whole point of them going off to explore in the first place.
