So it's come to my attention that you guys have some arc, plot, whatever ideas that you'd like to share.
This will be an open forum where people can discuss them! Note: PLEASE DON'T BE RUDE TO ANYONE ABOUT THEIR IDEAS. Also if I say enough, that means enough. Please respect me, it's pretty much all I ask for.
Now, throw your ideas up here. We'll all discuss them thoroughly and have a steady dialogue going about plot ideas.
Try and think larger than one movie, one species, one set of characters. Think something everyone can get involved in.
Thanks guys, Stitch

Ssso. I guess it's kind of obvious that I've got a thing. So let's open that one up for everyone to discuss.
Questions? Concerns?
EDIT://
To clarify, Kula is not coming in ready to fight Simba just yet. We're just introducing a new faction... Or an army, if it grows large enough. Think of it at Kula's version of Nuka's rebellion.
And y'know what, to hell with it, I actually like the name 'The Red Queen's Army'. So let's call this that if we get it off the ground.

Is there the potential for it to spread beyond just lion/lion king franchise characters? The concept of the rebellion interests me, but it seems too isolated to one movie's set of characters for everyone to enjoy (says the girl who only has animal villain hyenas). From what I've seen/heard thus far, Kula's arc doesn't appear to be very inclusive of characters who AREN'T lions...like, at all. Maybe I'm digging for a plot in the wrong place, and it should only include that small set of characters, but I'm curious anywho.

Oh, Kula's not just looking to recruit lions. She wants as many supporters as she can, no matter what they are. As long as she can sway them to stand with her rather than Simba or Scar, she doesn't care what they are. Granted right now she has mostly lions, and it's mostly been people who have lion characters who end up in her threads... But that's open to change.
(Okay I lied she IS biased against humans but she's not going to turn them away.)

Hmm, I might make Shenzi's allegiance change. I don't know yet.

With her devotion to Scar, it doesn't make much sense to be honest.

With Shenzi, I'm not totally against her changing sides, but she needs a motivation - a SERIOUS motivation. As for my characters, Waffle might be interested, since he gives no fucks about the Outlands anymore (not implying he ever has). Joanna...um, maybe? It'd make her do THINGS at least. Last is Haki, and she currently has no reason to betray Scar and likely never will so she's probably out.

I had a plot arc idea a while back. I discussed it with the admins a bit, as well as a few other members, and got some good feed back on it.
It would start to play out after a few months into year two, and after the fall out from the "event" in January. Probably starting to pick up speed in February. It involves both the HV and Hero armies, and can included several side plots in-between. It's open to all chars. Even AVs can get in between if they so wish.
A few months back, Merlin and I where going over Marceline and what place the town would have in the grand scheme of the war. Mostly because we both intend for our canine characters to return at some point, and because I have a character who has yet to leave, and one who is attempting to find his way back. Our discussion was over Marceline's strategic importance as well as a viable outcome and plot-line for the setting against the backdrop of the war.
Marceline has a pretty sizable agricultural base (If the ads on fences are anything to go by, and of course the poultry farm) and between that and the several hints of a meat packing plant, the butchers, and the vast number of eateries, the place is without a doubt a pretty sizable source of ready made food. It has an industrial base, which is good to the production of armor and armaments, as well as a source of dry goods with its meany stores and shop-keeps. For the H/Vs, the high powered 19th century American industrial base alone would be a great asset. Never mind that it's all already set up and ready to go.
On the flip side of the coin. For the Heros and Avs, if you want to just look at bare basics. The place has food, water, and a ready made source of supplies and goods to keep the Hero Army in force. Heck, just looking around the Junkyard and seeing the materials that where tossed should say something to Angel about the town. (A disused Cannon = the ability to build weapons. A junked stove = dry goods. That busted wardrobe = a carpentry industry and the ability to manufacture anything made of wood...so on, so on...)
It starts with the idea of there being a bit of a struggle over who would occupy Marcaline. Really the only two who have a hope of dealing with the town on a realistic level is Simba's Army, and the Hvs. The Hvs looking for a foothold in the Americas that they can control with little ease (Which rules out New Orleans and New York) Marceline would be a promising start because of it's resources, and it's small size means it could be held easily.
As it is, the Heros are at one disadvantage. Jim Dear, who is on the town council, disapproves immensely of the way the Hero Army works, and is most unimpressed with the progress of the war. Therefor the town council is very reluctant to provide anything to the Hero army. Feeling that it would rather stay neutral for the good of the citizens of Marceline.
If the HVs discover Marceline is providing or preparing to start providing provisions to the Heroes, they might just make a point to invade and occupy the town before the Heroes can get a foot hold. They can strike a deal will have to be struck with the city council. Which the Hvs (Just by being humans, among only ploys) could drum up political support. The town already dislikes Simba and Scar's armies. Make themselves smell like roses and they could have the town handed over to them without so much as a fight.
Merlin has suggested using The Horned King to lead this aspect of the army under the HV banner. With Jafar looking on and pulling the strings from afar. (I personally think Rourke would be more applicable to deal with humans. But Merlin has his reasons which I am aware of but shall not revival as it is his side of the plot.) The long and sort of it is that a deal is struck between the H/Vs and the City Council (being represented by Jim Dear and his canines. Who, are holding their loyalty to their home higher then any loyalty to Simba.) It would be a very Vader/Lando-ish deal. The claim that all the HVs are there for is to root out the Hero presence, and Jim Dear and his dogs can do their best to keep the citizens calm while providing the HVs with whatever they need. Only for the agreement to be altered as time passes.
Then, come the actual occupation. As an H/V held town, you would see the normal things. Curfew at a specific time. The abashment of newspapers and other forms of major communication. Hero activities would have to go underground. Perhaps even seeing a Hero variation of a “La Resistance” movement.
Of course, Marceline's a long way from Agrabah, and the HVs don't have the Atlantic like the Allies did in the World Wars. Eventually, they'd likely have to withdraw because they couldn't spare anyone to keep a presence in Marceline. But not before sacking and burning Marceline in order to prevent it from being able to ever stand a chance of providing service to the Hero Alliances.
While the plot will obviously focus a lot on the L&TT Cannon, it's open to all and can finally open the Americas to the war. The plot has been disused via notes for the past six months, and there is ALOT of corresponding on it. I am only scratching the surface in terms of what can be done here.

Why on earth though would any of the armies look across the ocean to a sleepy little town? The HVs are ruled by magic and rely very little on technology - hell, I'm not even sure if they're that interested in it. Why bother when their spells can do it all better?
As for Simba and Scar's army... You do realize that Scar's army is all animals, right? As is Simba's, mostly.

My personal take on that is that it wouldn't work out too well. the distance is too long and I hardly see the armies wanting to focus on a place like Marceline when they could have bigger, better places; besides, it's hard to see anyone wanting to be head of an army that is hours away, plane-time. I think the arc is too focused on the prospect of retunring characters to Marceline.
I dunno. We hardly have active people here, we don't need more territory for the armies in my humble opinion. It is too impractical and high-maintenance for a plot that hardly benefits a few. I'm sorry if I'm coming off as rude or anything, I just wanna express this feels like a plot fully driven by LatT characters.

I would appreciate that more if it wasn't Marceline and wasn't so based on LatT central.
If we're watching the same movie- I don't see Marceline being helpful at all to anyone. It's full of families, old people and pets, and I don't imagine these families would be happy to see armies of lions at their doors. Not to mention, would the heroes really put all of those families in danger? Just because we're rping in DWOW, that doesn't kick NPC civilians out of the picture.
So Marceline basically isn't valuable to anyone but Lady, Tramp, their pups and their friends. Nobody else will really care what happens to it to be perfectly honest. If DWOW was based around LatT (which it very well might be at this point) then go to town. But unfortunately it's not.
At the very least, Kula's willing to expand and involve other species and whoever is willing to fight for her cause. it gives a whole other 'army' to look into. People love a rebellion. You've very clearly expressed your views against it, which I understand too. But we've had this January plot held over our heads long enough for us to not really be concerned about it anymore, if it was so important then we should not have waited this long for it to come. It's not fair for you to dash out other peoples plots in favor of one that we know nothing about.
In any case- I think the heroes should reach out to another community. But not Marceline. Bottom line, it's not logical or useful, and it's only interesting if you're rping a character from Lady and the Tramp.

Well, the plot kinda has already been established via notes, and already the key players are in place. So, it's going to happen in some form or another.
Why? Because the town is small enough to be taken over with little force...or no force at all. The key word here is foothold. I see a town full of uses. Iron works for armor, a massive agricultural base for food. And if you think the HVs are all magicians, you need to look again. I see a lot of people who rely on guns, arrows, and shields. To them it's a town full of potintal, the very bosom of American industry. Food, materials, the means to build and construct. Its a perfect start to gaining ground in America. New York is too large to hold, New Orleans too far south and to be frank...unless your into fishing there is not much there then an active port.
as for endangering NPCs...aren't we already doing that in Notre Dame, and Agrabah? Beside, in Marceline, the NPCs have a role to play themselves. But without outing the other players, that's something you guys will have to find out.
It's no more L&TT centric then where we are now is TLK centric.

- Notre Dame was used because Paris is a large city with plenty of uses as well as having a few very easily-defendable buildings to use (The Palace of Justice, Notre Dame herself)
- Agrabah was used because Jafar is the leader of the HVs, and it is a very profitable city to hold.
- If you hadn't noticed, the site seems TLKcentric at times because TLK is what started the war in the first friggin' place.
Either way, seeing as you are going to push your plot either way, good luck with that.

That's because it IS TLK centric. The whole plot started because of Scar vs Simba and the Pridelands vs Outlands. So that's not the problem here. Ultimately, I think Marceline is just the go to place for you, but it doesn't make sense for animal based armies, especially with lions and tigers and bears(oh my!) to head to Marceline.
Lady and the Tramp has had a lot going on for it so far. What about the newer movies? Tangled? Frozen? Brave?
All three of those have their respective 'kingdoms' and bases. I'd reach out to ANY of those before Marceline. Hell, Brave has got WARRIORS in the form of Vikings to offer. But Marceline's got some pets and strays, right? Just an example. It doesn't make sense to turn to America right now I think, especially not a Lady and the Tramp city.
And as far as your pre-established plot goes, like I've said you've been dangling it over our heads and holding us up on it for so long, we're really not all that concerned about it anymore? We're just ready to move on to more thing. :I
