For a split second, Nasira discerned a familiar vibe from Clopin's aura. "Oh, you have got to be kidding me," she deadpanned. She knew more about what lay beyond the realm of the living than most, and it did not take long for her to figure out that they were not alone. Somebody or something was "aiding" the master of tomfoolery. It was too early to identify what had Clopin ensnared, but she knew it was something that belonged in the ground or even the Netherworld.
What did you do, Clopin?
Clopin grasped the shoulder Nasira scraped. "Why, Nasira, whatever do you mean?" he asked coyly. "I haven't changed at all."
"Quit running your mouth, you blockhead. Tell it to me straight."
But he was not so easily deterred. "I’m still the same gypsy king you’ve always fought against! Nothing has changed!”
Still, Nasira was not buying it. "Uh huh. Yeah, sure you are."
Clopin bent backwards to look up at Nasira upside down. She inclined her head. Then again... Did she imagine that vibe? He seemed more or less himself.
“Ah Nasira, mon ami.” The half-possessed gypsy king took a step toward her. Nasira uncrossed her arms.
“Perhaps you’ve forgotten that justice is...swift!”
Clopin's scythe reappeared. This time, Nasira had no time to react. In one fell swoop, the scythe struck her full on. Her back hit the trunk of a quiver tree as the point of the enchanted blade wedged itself between her wind pipe, right lung and spinal cord. Clopin yanked it out, and Nasira fell on her side. Was the battle already over?
"It must have slipped my mind," Nasira insolently quipped as soon as the pain subsided. She rolled onto her back. She was not particularly distressed over her injury. It hurt, but it was nothing that couldn't be fixed. Being on Maleficent's good side sure had its perks. Well, aside the whole "dead brother" snafu.
"Okay, you got me, Clopin," Nasira conceded. "You won. Now run along."

Vitani felt a satisfied grin appear on her face as she successfully knocked the hyena off his feet. But this one was definitely a fighter. Vitani watched carefully as the hyena got back on his feet, ready to lash back at her. That was a move she could see coming, but the hyena was fast - Vitani could definitely give him that. Vitani had never really interacted with the hyenas when she had been trained - to her, they had just been another one to join the army, even if they had a long history with Scar beforehand. Vitani didn't care for them - they were just as bad. At least, most of them were. She had swore she had seen a hyena in the Pridelands once before - and if that was true, maybe not all of them were so bad. After all, she used to be an Outlander, and had trained like one.
But the attack, however much Vitani saw it coming, hit it's target. It was something she had not expected in the least, and her eyes widened slightly when his jaws met her paw. Vitani gasped at the sudden flash of pain that came from her paw, staggering slightly in surprise. She hadn't expected the hyena to fight back so quickly. After knocking him down like that, she had thought she would have a few extra seconds on her paws. Apparently luck was not on her side today.
The smile turned into a snarl of pain, as she crouched down on her other paws, trying to remove her paw from the locking jaws, claws out from all paws, including , eyes locked on the target who had her at the moment. She didn't know how hard he had bitten her, but it hurt like hell either way. as she struck out with her other paw, aiming for his face in an effort to get him off of her paw. The hyena from behind was unnoticed, as in her ducking from trying to free herself of Janja's grasp had saved her from the being the target of another attack. She could do nothing to defend herself from him right now even if she wanted to, however, totally focused on ridding herself of the first hyena.

The setter let out a small yelp as Crystallene's bite landed on her beautiful feathery tail. As she whirled around in pain Maggie's jaws locked into the alien's shoulder and ripped into it, shaking her head. "Stay out of this!" She attempted to throw the experiment to the side and get back to the task of mauling Nani and (maybe) Baymax if she could get past his weird armor. What even was this thing? Never in her life had Maggie seen something like Crystallene during her hunts in the countryside with her master and mistress. So Maggie settled on the creature being some sort of mutant opossum or raccoon.

A squeal of pain filled the air when Maggie bit into Crystallene's shoulder. The entire time she had been in the war, she had managed to avoid getting seriously hurt. Now, though? It was abundantly clear that maybe Crystallene had bitten off more than she could chew in trying to protect Nani. Tears welled up in the small purple creature's eyes, and she blindly tried to strike Maggie with one of her paws. She had already released her hold on Maggie's tail when she made it clear she was in pain, but that didn't stop her from trying to attack. The thing was that her attempt at defending herself while in the setter's jaws was pathetic.
"Naga!" Crystallene wailed. "Leave Crystallene friend alone!" Her voice was small and pitiful, and she wasn't even trying to hide that she was crying, but that didn't prevent her from making her attempt. She flailed her paw a bit and tried yet again to hit Maggie. With her eyes full of tears that were spilling forth, though, it was impossible to see where she was aiming. She could very well have missed her target entirely. Even if she had hit Maggie, though, her paw probably wouldn't have hurt the dog enough as it was. She might just have lightly 'papped' her and that would have been about it. Besides, Maggie was a hunter. She had her prey right where she wanted it. Therefore, Maggie was very capable of tearing her apart more than she already had.
There was nothing Crystallene could have done to stop it from happening, she realized as tears streamed down her cheeks. She had brought this upon herself. A feeble little thing like her simply wasn't built for war. But she had needed to try, hadn't she? Nani was her friend. She had to do something to try and protect her, even if it was pathetic in the end.
Now, if she went down here, Crystallene knew without doubt that she had at least been brave enough to do something.
(ooc: Maggie, feel free to hurt her more. I have no objections to this. xD)

The creature shrieked out in pain as Maggie continued her attack. The setter heard her crying, begging her to let her shoulder go. Like hell Maggie was going to do that. A pitiful swat hit Maggie's chest and the dog snorted at the hit. With a grunt Maggie threw the purple alien to the side and repositioned her jaws. She ripped into her side and tasted blood, well she hoped it was blood it looked kinda different from the normal red stuff that raccoons and her normal prey had. "Pipe down critter!" She hissed, "I don't like my prey squawking and making a fuss as I kill it." her muzzle wrinkled as she bit down on her little arm, hoping the snap she heard was a bone breaking and not a stick she had stepped on.

“Eh, why not. Been awhile since I had the chance to fight someone on equal grounds as me.”
Edmund watched as the fellow hound lowered his head. Brown eyes mirrored his own blood-lust just as his own when he and his pack-mates were on a hunt. Only this was for his blood, his life giving blood. As Copper sprung into action, Edmund was ready for the attack. His body shifted to the side to avoid the other hound's lunge and to quickly sink his teeth into Copper's shoulder. Yes, he was opening himself up to an attack from the hound but if he could manage it he would try and shove the other canine onto his side where he could attempt to cause some damage to his underside and soft stomach.

She was thrown, and Crystallene landed in a heap on the ground. The pain in her shoulder was too much for her to endure at the moment, so she was all but helpless when Maggie decided to attack again. The canine's jaws found purchase on Crystallene's side, and the poor little creature was ripped into without mercy. It was impossible to keep herself from crying in pain again. It would have been an understatement to say that it hurt, because it was agonizing. The tears only seemed to flow faster as Crystallene grit her teeth and tried to think of some way out of the situation she'd found herself in. Unfortunately, nothing was coming to her. She was the least likely fighter among the animal villains, and the only reason she'd come out onto the battlefield was to try and prove herself. Apart from that, she was a useless little medic wannabe. On top of that, she was getting torn apart by a canine.
What a way to go.
Snap. Crystallene felt a bone breaking when Maggie bit into her arm, and it only worsened her state of being. She had to do something, otherwise her first outing in a real battle was going to end with her not being able to return to the Outlands at all. But what could she do? She was just a pathetic little creature and had no real power outside of being able to turn objects into gems. What, then, could she hope to do outside of biting Maggie again and hoping for the best?
...Maybe that was the solution. It was a pathetic one, and Crystallene knew the chances of her actually succeeding while she was in so much pain were slim, but what other choice did she have? She had to try and defend herself. So, since it felt like Maggie's jaws were still tightly clamped around her now broken arm, Crystallene aimed to try and bite her opponent. The only reachable place for the time being was one of Maggie's legs from what she could tell. It was better than nothing, though, so she had to go for it.
Despite the pain, and despite every fiber of her being telling her what a stupid idea this was, Crystallene tried to push herself up enough with her working arm and aimed to bite down on one of the setter's front legs. Hopefully it would work, though.
