Shattered (Vitani, Mooch and Scamp centric)

Vitani seemed to get more smug and confident by the minute "It's a huge cave with hundreds of tunnels that run for miles under the Pridelands and the Outlands...as you could probably guess it's full of crystals. Legend has it that the tunnels were cursed by the Great Kings and any who dare enter are lost forever in the tunnels. Doomed to wander for all enternity and never reach the surface...Sounds like fun huh?"

Vitani was not in the least bit scared of the old ghost stories Nuka told her and Kovu so they would stay away from the tunnels. There were no such things as ancient curses right?

Scamp grinned. "Sounds fun!" He wasn't a bit scared of an old curse, either. And who knew - if the crystals were pretty enough, he could always break off a bit of one for Angel, right? Not as part of his campaign to win her back, just as a friendly gift. His tail wagged a little more - he liked that idea.

(OOC: Is this Crystal Cave canon? Because Mooch seems to know what you're talking about, but I haven't a clue, really.)

(The Crystal Cave was the original home of the Outlanders in the concept sketches of Simba's Pride. I'm obviously making it up as I go along but if you google it I'm sure you could find info about it)

Vitani grinned "My brother went down there with his girlfriend once. They said it was amazing." Vitani said "They said there was a whole chamber full if crystals that were way bigger than they were. I never got to go but I this k it would be brilliant to explore."

Vitani was getting more and more excited just thinking about the amazing cave filled with crystals. Kovu and Kiara hadn't shut up about it for days after they went.

"I guess the curse doesn't work too well, then." Scamp replied. Not that he'd expected it to, anyway, it was just nice to have confirmation that they wouldn't be lost forever. He paused to stetch, feeling better than he had in days. Sure, he hadn't won Angel back, but he had good friends now. And he had - for the moment, anyway - managed to avoid his parents watchful eyes. Things were looking pretty good.

"Either that or they didn't go down far enough or they were just making the whole thing up." Vitani shrugged "It sounds like something Kovu'd do and Shani'd go along with him."

Vitani smirked at the thought that her 'perfect' brother was too scared to enter the cursed cave. She could get back at him when Mooch, Scamp and herself all went down there. She would have a good time of teasing Kovu.

"So where exactly is this place?" Mooch looked around, waiting to get ambushed. He was scared that someone might jump out at them. They were crawling through tall grass. He was sued to the clean, well trimmed lawns of the farm. This was an adventure. He stayed close behind 'Tani. "We're going to make it there okay right? No...uh...crocs or anything right?"

"No." Vitani shook her head "You don't have to cross the river. If you did then I wouldn't have suggested it."

It was true, after her near drowning this morning she was determined to keep as far away from any source of water possible unless she was drinking it. Suffice to say, Vitani was even less keen about water than she had been yesterday.

Reuben was on his way back to the tents from getting his midnight snack when he overheard someone talking. Hmmm, that voice sounds familiar he thought.

He made his way toward the voices and saw his friend Tani and the injured pup he met earlier. "Hey guys" he said walking up, "Whatcha doin?"

(OOC: It's not got that late yet - it's still early night, not midnight.)

Vitani looked up when she heard Reuben, she smiled a little. The experiment was a good friend probably not as 'cool' as Mooch would like but he was kind. He also introduced Vitani to hot dogs which she had grown to like very much.

"We're goin' to the Crystal Cave." Vitani replied glancing at Mooch and Scamp. She didn't know if they would want Reuben to come along, Mooch might not but Vitani couldn't see why he wouldn't be allowed to go with them.

"Ooo, can I come?" Reuben asked. "Sounds interesting." maybe I can get to know some of them better he thought to himself, then I will have more friends

Scamp stared at the strange creature, an almost comical expression of confusion on his face. He'd seen some pretty odd things since arriving at the camp, but still... "What are you?" he asked, sniffing at the thing's yellow fur. It couldn't be a dog, as it walked upright, but it clearly wasn't a human, either.
In answer to the creature's question, he shrugged. Personally, he'd been hoping to spend some time with just Mooch and 'Tani, but at the same time he didn't want to be mean. So he glanced to Mooch, who had - in Scamp's eyes, at least - come to be the unofficial leader of the trio.

"I'm a alien." Reuben said. "Well sorta, I was made in a lab by a alien scientist."

Vitani's eyes too went to Mooch, he was the leader of their small band in a way. Although she liked Reuben and he was her friend she really wanted to know what Mooch's view was. Scamp looked slightly disappointed and she felt slightly sympathetic for the pup. After all he was one of her first true friends.

"Mooch?"

Mooch rolled his eyes. He had wanted to spend time with 'Tani and Scamp; his new crew! This plump weird looking little freak alien was NOT cool in his mind. He stepped in front of the little creature and snorted loudly.

"Aw I dunno guys," he said with a scoff, "It's really gonna be a long journey and you-" Mooch pushed Reuben's stomach with his paw, "Hehehe. I don't think you can keep up." It was how he got Rolly away from the other pups. Offer up a challenge that required a physical strain. He snorted, growling at the alien.

"If you think your cool enough to hang with us...I sure don't think you are."
