Shattered (Vitani, Mooch and Scamp centric)

Scamp shrugged. "You're not horrible. And if Angel doesn't hold it against you, I don't see why I should either."
There may - just vaguely - have been something more to it than that. Scamp had... an odd feeling when he was with 'Tani. Not 'odd' in any bad sense of the word, just... well, he couldn't place it. He just knew that he enjoyed her company.

Mooch had been speechless, tail drooped, eyes wide, ears perked. Finally he opened his mouth.

"WOW! THAT WAS AWESOME!!!" He pranced back and forth excitedly. "I fought in a battle! I fought a hyena! Guys! Guys! Guys!" He placed his large paws on Scamp's side, tail wagging. "We fought hyenas! We fought them and we WON!" Mooch got down and growled low, ears pinning back. "We're gonna be the greatest soldier ever! If we can fight that many hyenas, who knows what we can do!"

"See" Reuben said to Mooch "I was right. Maybe next time you'll believe me." He turned to Tani "Are you all right Tani? Are you hurt?" Reuben was concerned he cared about Tani he didnt want her hurt.

Scamp shot a warning growl in Reuben's direction. "If you hadn't led them right to us...!" he began angrily, placing himself between the alien and 'Tani.

(OOC: Sorry for the short post, I just think it would be good if someone inturputs him before he can say any more)

"Lead them to you? Lead them to you! Listen dude they were here before I even arrived. I could hear and smell them and knew I couldnt take them on alone so I came to you to warn you." Reuben was kinda angry now. All he had doe was try to help them and maybe gain two new friends and all he got in return was a blame!

"Stop it both of you!" Vitani said stepping between Reuben and Scamp "We should just concentrate on gettin' out of here...before those slobbery, mangy, stupid poachers decide to come back."

Vitani glanced in the direction they had disappeared, their threat not entirely forgotten, still she couldn't worry about that now. Scar would find out one day.

"Sorry" Reuben grumbled to Tani. He turned to Scamp "I apologize." He took a look around... "I think this is the way" he said. "Of course, you can pick." he said again turning to Tani. "Or one of your friends."

"You... you're right, 'Tani." Scamp replied awkwardly. "Unless, of course, that old curse of yours is real." He added nervously. "Not that I believe it." he quickly ammended. He pulled the shard of crystal out of his collar again, and the light flooded the chamber, and he had to shield his eyes with his other paw for a moment.
"Maybe.... maybe you'd better lead, Mooch?" he suggested. "Or 'Tani?" He certainly didn't trust his own sense of direction - not after he'd gone in completely the wrong direction while trying to follow 'Tani earlier.

Vitani glanced left then right, she had no clue which way was right, she was thankful that Scamp brought that crystal. They would need it. She couldn't remember the way she had come from, and because she had just ran without any real sense of where she was going, she didn't even know the way back to the crystal cavern.

"I...think it's that way." Vitani said, motioning right, it sounded like a suggestion.

"By the way Tani, what curse?" Reuben asked. "Is there something I should know?"
