Shattered (Vitani, Mooch and Scamp centric)

Vitani gave Mooch a smirk "Of course Mooch! I was wondering when you'd figure it out." she replied jokingly "They can't be too far ahead. C'mon."

Vitani trotted down the dark tunnel, her sapphire eyes glinting in the darkness. She was on the alert, after that scare at the cave entrance she wasn't about to drop her guard for anything, lest they were being followed by someone less than friendly. Or worse, her father's hyenas.

Scamp followed 'Tani, keeping pace just behind her, his tail wagging a little. With these two, he actually felt pretty good. For the first time in maybe weeks, his every thought wasn't consumed with Angel.
"It's getting brighter." he observed, his ears pricking a little more. If this glow really was coming from the crystals, as he suspected, he would definately take a piece of one of them back for Angel.

Vitani came to an abrupt stop, her sapphire eyes wide. The glow had been coming from the crystals alright.

They had arrived at a huge cavern that appeared to be made of crystals. Vitani mouthed a slient 'wow' before padding forward mesmerised by the sight.

"Whoa..." Scamp gasped, trailing behind 'Tani as she entered the cavern. The glow from the crystals was amazingly beautiful, almost hypnotising. "It... it's amazing!" he gasped, slowly rotating as he tried to take in the entire cavern in one go. Catching sight of a small clump of crystals sticking from one of the walls - which also seemed to be made from the crystal -, he stopped spinning and, after waiting for his vision to return to normal, made his way over. Testing the protrusion with a paw, he broke a clump off. He stared at the glowing crystal in his paw for a moment before tucking it into his collar and trotting over to rejoin 'Tani and Mooch. It would make a perfect gift for Angel when he returned to camp.

Reuben had finally made it to the cave. "Wow, how far down do theses caves go?" he wondered out loud. Deciding the trio couldnt have gone too far he started in the tunnels. Just then he heard a strange noise, being the chicken that he was he ran into the tunnel. In his blindness he tripped on another rock and started rolling down the tunnel. "Oof ah ouch!" he yelled. Just then he rolled into the cavern with the lioness and two dogs. "Oh umm hi guys." he said standing up and brushing off. "Hows it going?"

"Hey Scamp!" Mooch called, as he watched Scamp break off a piece of the crystal, getting ideas of his own. "Whatcha got there, buddy?" The crash behind him made him sit up and alert. Could it be an intruder? An enemy of the army? Mooch cowered, he wasn't ready for a fight just yet.

Mooch's ears perked as he saw the pudgy little alien behind them. His ears pinned back and he growled loudly, bracing his stance for a fight with this annoying little alien critter. Reuben, Mooch was not afraid of.

"Grrrrrr," he said, ignoring the lights and the colors of the cave. He had wanted to grab a piece of crystal like Scamp had and ask one of the humans to make a collar for him so he could be like his dalmatian siblings. But way cooler because his collar would have a diamond on it. "I thought I told you that you weren't cool enough to hang with my gang!"

"Well I just thought you would like to know you are being followed" Reuben retorted. "I heard some noises and came down here to tell you, you know like rescue you?"

"Reuben?" Vitani couldn't believe this "What are you doing here?"

She was annoyed at the experiment because he had followed her, Scamp and Mooch. She wanted thi to be an adventure for the three of them, no offense to Reuben. There could be hyenas around too, what if Reuben had run into them instead of Scamp, Mooch and herself?

"Well I wanted to come see the caves, and if necessary rescue you." Reuben replied "I think you are being followed, I heard a strange cackling before I fell."

Scamp hung back, a glare adorning his features. He didn't want the alien to be here - this was just for him, Mooch and 'Tani - but he was content to let the other two do the talking.

(OOC: Wow, Scamp's harder to RP than I was expecting. I will keep him, of course, I just have to think hard to keep him in character. Maybe I ought to watch L&tT2 again)

Mooch growled, low.

"We don't NEED rescuing you little twerp!" he called out, "Now get out of here! This cave is for cool people only. Nobody's following us! You made it up." Tail held high like his nose, Mooch walked over behind the crystals.

"Hey guys check it out!" He laughed as he made a face behind the crystals.

"Fine, but when the hyenas Tani told me about come down here, dont call me for help!" and with that he stormed off.

Vitani's eyes widened at Reuben's statement. Cackling? That only meant one thing...they were all in danger. Vitani watched Reuben leave with a look of fear and shock. She barely acknowaldged Mooch's antics.

She knew that if the hyenas caught them, they were as good as dead.

Scamp grinned, oblivious to 'Tani's concern. "You told him, hey Mooch!" he returned his attention to the cavern, gazing around in awe. Angel would love this...
Here and now he reminded himself. You can worry about Angel later.
He let out an amused snort as he caught sight of the face Mooch was pulling. "That's the sort of face Collette makes if she gets muddy!" he laughed. "How about this one?" He also moved behind the crystals, and pulling a face of his own, with one corner of his mouth stretched upwards, the otehr downwards, with his tongue lolling out in between. He tried to hold it for a moment, before bursting into laughter. With these two, he could forget his troubles with Angel and just enjoy himself, and he felt great.

Vitani glanced over at Mooch and Scamp and couldn't help but burst into laughter at their antics. The threat of hyena attack momentarily forgotten she approached and said:

"That's nothin'. Watch this." Vitani then said on the cave floor and dragged her rear end across the floor scratching and biting at her fur, her ultimate Nuka impression "Agh these termites! Argh! Urgh AHH!" she cried rolling on the floor.

She rolled onto her paws again with a laugh.
