Thanks Nasira. You managed to explain exactly how things work there!
Once again I'd like to state that the problems with god-moding on this board probably stems from inexperienced players, which isn't a bad thing. They just need to learn, and the people who knw how to play maybe could take their time to teach them?
This reminds me a little of the "adopt a newbie" program on the board I was on back in 2004. If a player posts around on the board and doesn't really know what he/she is doing, or is unable to pay attention to rules, regulations and time lines most of the time, would it be unfair (to teacher or student) if that person was "adopted"? 'Else I fear we will end up in a sea of posts that either gets bashed or ignored. Nobody learns anything from that.
An other solution would be to make a fight guidelines thread that explains exactly what auto-hitting and god-moding is, and how to avoid it. I know you've been trying too already, but maybe we need a good fleshed-out fight tutorial. And also, teach some manners in fighting. 'Cause I've seen characters on the same sides "fighting" about who should fight the villain - both heroes pushing each other in order to get to the bad guy.

Not to sound too rude but I did already. Twice. There's something in the rules about it and something in the announcements section...
Really I think we're mature enough to handle not having a dodge rule. I don't want this place to become like a video game where you've used up all of your tokens and now you have to take a hit point. It ruins the flow of the board. I think one needs to just take size into consideration and strength and be fair. If you think the person's not being fair, call them out on it or PM me.

That sounds reasonable. I hope and think that we can maintain order.

Godmodding can one of three things:
1. Invincibility. That means your character is so powerful that he/she can not be harmed by anything.
2. Controlling other people's character.
3. Impossible moves. For example, if you're tied up, you can't punch anyone. This is basically common sense.
-----------
Auto-hitting is when you do damage to another player without attempting it.
For example: Hunter tore the butterfly's wing in half.<---That is auto-hitting, since Hunter did not give the butterfly a chance to dodge it.
Now, here's the correct way: Hunter attempted to tear the butterfly's wing in half.
Every attack here must be ATTEMPTED, meaning tried.
