^To add to that, in the Second Gen application we should also put wether or not said child will survive the war. Because I don't think many babies could survive in the conditions the war is in. Plus with things that have already happend, sneak attacks on both sides, setting fire to the camps, the plagues, the flood ect.

That would make sense. Now that I think about it, it probably would be safer to send them away. xD

I wouldn't mind JafarXHelga's child being killed by premature birth due to something Aladdin did. Just for drama, and realistically if you harm a pregnant woman something will happen to the baby. Especially if the woman goes into shock, that could cause a miscarriage or premature birth. (Which probably won't be survived given the environment.)

I'm ok with that too. I think if that happened, Jafar would go insane and do something irrational.


And I just thought of something. Maybe some of the children could be portrayed by nameless Disney characters. Though I personally favor them as NPCs.

Yeah but there might be some age discrepinces there, since most of the nameless characters are adults/young adults.

I agree that there is a problem with someone just springing 'oh hey character X is pregnant XD' (I feel like a hypocrite now) and I think there should be some kind of standard introduced for the sudden 'bomb' of Next-Gen characters. I think the sending them away would be a good idea, or just keeping them out of the way (now I've the image of Nuka hiring a nanny stuck in my head).

What if we created a seperate board for the Next Gen characters? Set it X amount of time into the future and play with the characters there? Or have an Out of Canon thread for them?

I think a Second Generation board would be fun. That way, people could play their second-gen characters without feeling obligated to throw them into canon, if that makes any sense...

I agree. I think a general rule should state that both parents are ok with the child. I've had a problem with that in the past and I can not express how annoying it is when the other player suddenly proclaims that your character is pregnant. However, some people have been known to drop their characters, so I guess the rule wouldn't apply then. I also think some people should have the option of having a second-generation character with one canon parent and an unknown OC. Reason being, not all characters are lucky enough to end up with someone canonly. And if Zira could do it...-shot-

As for what couples should be allowed, I think as long as both parents are ok with the child, then go for it.

In any case, I think a Second-Generation board would be fun.

For what little my opinion is worth, I think the idea of a second board for any second generation characters is a really great, fun-sounding idea! It would make for some interesting roleplaying and improvisation, I think. (Ok, short opinion over. x3)

problem with the second gen board- What about the war? How do we decide which side wins, truces, or deaths?

I have a solution. At the beginning of the thread (where we usually state the dates and stuff), the person starting it could establish which side of the war won. Or, the war could be on-going. It could all depend on what the participants of the thread want.

I dunno. I think it'd interfere with DWOW too much if someone determined a winner/solution to our war. :I

Probably. The second-generation board could probably be more of an alternate-universe thing. Kind of like the 'When We're Human' board.

Or to make things simple, we could just say that the war is on-going and leave it at that. Frankly, it would be more interesting to see how the kids react to the war and all that.

I approve of that idea! I'd love to play Kuziko here, and maybe Tommy. I highly doubt I'd bring in my three Badger/Dusty pups, though. I think Badger's a little too young to be having pups XD

Anyways, the board sounds like a great idea. Would be fast forward it a bit, though so they weren't all helpless infants?
