Uh, Lady? Not for nothing, but out of all the heroes you play why put Casey Jr. in the thread? Wouldn't Shang have made more sense, being a general and someone who already supports her?

I did actually have a heavy argument with myself over if I should slip Shang in there. But I had my reasons for not doing so.

For starters, Shang doesn't support Kula. (Or at least, I could not find any evidence of his past player supporting Kula.) While he might be having issues with the way the officers are working together, and especially with Simba's example of leadership. His up bringing taught him to have respect and loyalty for his commanding officer. To go behind his commanding officer's back even though he disagrees with the former's actions not only goes against his military training, but would be considered a great dishonor to his family linage. Having grown up with the expectations of being the textbook example of a tight solder. Kula actually represent an usurper in his book, and he would hold no loyalty to an usurper. I have a hard time seeing him openly support Kula under the current circumstances.

Also, he might be knocked out on Opeum at the moment.

Casey Jr, on the other hand, has had some history with labor uprisings. I wanted someone who wouldn't imeditly jump on the bandwagon but rather proceed with caution. My post both references a bit of commentary in Dumbo (The clowns threatening to go on strike)and the very real Battle of Homestead. I chose him to represent a word of caution to what might be a crowd about to riot. Not so much speaking out against Kula. But rather reminding both her and the group that achieving their goal, the crowd in a trail for Nala, and Kula in her cause for a rebellion, may require some blood shed.

Plus, being a locomotive. He is not intimidated by Kula's physical presence, and therefor can focus on her words and the weight they carry.

Yeah, I'm fairly sure that Shang was meant to be opposing Simba and supporting Kula due to Simba's inactivity leading to literal death and destruction... I mean we can ask Stitch whether there was meant to be a direction with that, butI do know that it was very strongly implied that that was the direction it was headed in.

Next question... I don't know if anyone's asked this before, and honestly this is the first time I've ever paid attention to anything with Casey in it, but how is it supposed to be getting around? There's never been any mention of rails existing in the camp or in the Pridelands in general. Shouldn't it be nearly impossible for it to be pulling its own weight around on dirt instead of a rail? On top of that, correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't it been established that the train requires a conductor to operate? As of this date I think Lady's still in the Outlands, so on top of the above question how is it moving at all?

As for in-character things, I'm not sure how much you know about Kula, but it's long been established that she loathes anything that's been created by human hands. A train is probably the worst offender in her eyes what with the disruption it being in the Pridelands would cause and the pollution it'd be spitting out. So that plus the fact that she already knows full well what it's trying to say leads to there being no real reason for her to even acknowledge Casey at all? Like I can't... Logically put in any reason for her to care about the presence or opinion of a train beside disgust without warping her character. I just want you to be aware of that.

from what I read yes, there has been mention of a railway line around camp and in the pridelands. Casey uses it for supply trips to Paris and stuff.

If that's true, who built it? When was it put in place?
