Hope that last post isn't godmodding, I didn't imply that he'd actually hit her but rather went through her somehow...? ^^; I figured she might have time to phase out again.

Raine... Raine, seriously. We've told you again and again to use past tense. PLEASE stop using present tense and try to make your posts longer. It's getting aggravating to keep having to tell you this.

What Ray said except to Nelleke. PAST TENSE. PAST TENSE. Please, we've said this to you eight million times before. FIX IT.

Part of Your War Part 2
Okay guys; the Nile River isn't a part of this African desert. The desert is the bit between the grasslands, pridelands and the oasis. Y'know the thing we saw Simba running through in TLK. Not Egypt. If it was the Egyptian desert it'd be nowhere near the pridelands. It's legit sand and dry air, that's about it.
And before you say anything about the Nile running through Sudan and stuff, we still haven't set in canon it's anywhere in that desert. Just...sand. So if you're looking for a spot like that, the Oasis or Tarzan's jungle would prove better if you guys are looking for water.

Wait so the Nile doesn't exist in this world? Why didn't you say something when we mentioned the Red Sea

No...I didn't say that at all. This desert is a separate desert. It's not representing the whole African Desert in the entire country. It's representing a patch of desert between lands. So between the pridelands, remember when Simba got caught out there and Timon and Pumbaa found him? That. The nile just doesn't reach there aka it's not in that patch of desert. This desert;

Okay, then what about the beach? Where is the so-called beach supposed to be?

That one didn't have a canon representation but from what I know about where TLK takes place it's the Indian Ocean.

You really gotta take the realism down a notch. It takes us days to get from Africa to England, not even, it's pretty much a day trip. There's still an element of fantasy here that's being played with so the Beach could be where ever, it doesn't have to actually exist.

Wait, there's a beach in the lion king, like a saltwater beach? I thought they were inland.

We made the trip from the red sea to the nile take a few hours, so we are not going with total realism as is.

Ahem. Anyway, TLK takes place in Kenya. The filmmakers went there, the species and the setting matches up and the filmmakers even said it at one point. So yes, if you want to get technical it IS saltwater, ocean based.
