Is there a reason we're turning this into a thing?

I'm not going to weigh in, I agree with one party but me fueling the fire isn't going to help, I'm just hear to remind everyone to keep it civil. I'm in bed and I don't want to wake up and find another thread in conflicts and issues, Okay?

Sorry, didn't mean to seem fussy, Stitch. I'm not arguing that dog nails do more damage than cat nails, I'm just saying that, for clarification, they are used in defense on a dog's part, though primarily they are only used for moving, not often, and they can inflict painful damage. They're not harmless.that's all!

So if dogs don't use their claws to fight, does that mean their only weapon, pretty much, is their teeth? That sounds rather limiting in this environment, to be honest ^^""""

Perhaps you should look up videos of how dogs normally play-fight? A dog's jaws are pretty powerful in their own right, and dogs are pretty good at using them.
That is, if you want to play animals realistically... I understand that there is a group on this site that doesn't acknowledge attacks unless they're actually possible, but we're hardly the standards other try to follow.

OK, since my post is one causing this so I feel like I have the right to say something. Kula why are you bring this now after I have been using claws in my post for over two years, if had raised this objection earlier you might have had a point, but I'm afraid that door has long since shut. Also I personal don't care about whether or not I play animals realistically, so sorry no disrespect meant but I'm not change my post.

Strike, this is by no means an attack against you personally, nor an attack at all. It is a simple stating of facts. If people want to play their characters like they're uber-powerful anime characters with claws of titanium and jaws of steel that's their business, but I wanted to make it clear to other people that they don't have to acknowledge attacks done by dog nails as actual attacks.

Was that tone really necessary.

with all due -respect- Strike didn't say a thing disrespectful. -__- in my opinion. It's a little silly to nitpick over whether fictional dogs can use their claws in battle don't you think..?

It's not that he said anything disrespectful. It's the fact that this conversation should have ended a couple of days ago.
