(July 27th open to Amelia and Abigail until we say otherwise.)
"CRAP! OW!"
Abigail swore at the top of her lungs as she swung her leg hard into a tree. She was practicing using her strength and agility instead of her claws. After all, despite what Daniel said, the female still felt she was more human-alien then animal-alien and she needed to learn to get her act together.
Shaking off the pain, she pinned her ears back roughly. She flexed her claws. One good slash against the bark wouldn't hurt. She extended her claws and scraped the tree bark with her nails. The satisfaction that followed felt excellent. She paused, wondering if her brother might have been right, wondering if they were meant to be animals.
She shook her head. No. She'd came to be a hero like Uncle Jim, not a dorkus like her brother. So she continued to slash kicked at the tree, pretending it was an enemy.

Amelia looked at her daughter with a proud look on her face. For a cat-like aliens using claws is always so tempting, but it could be dangerous as well. The last time she had done this... Well, it didn't end up very well. Amelia flinched at the memory. It took her two hours of shower to feel clean of blood again. Not the thing she'd like to remember. Standing up from her spot on the grass, Amelia made her way towards her daughter. "You're punching too high, it's easy to avoid a kick like this" She said softly, stopping beside Abby "You'd better aim at enemy's torso or even thighs, so it would be hard for him to jump away"

Abby's ears pinned back before she turned. Her slender mother was beside her in a matter of quick, slick strides. She clucked her tongue against the roof of her mouth before answering her. "Oh...hey Mom," she mused, ears flattened. She peered up at her Mom's identical eyes and hair. Out of her sisters, she looked the most like Amelia. Sometimes it made her feel proud. Other times it made her feel like a clone. She frowned, poked her tongue between her lips and tried again, raising a kick high on the tree's 'torso.' The satisfying crunch of bark followed.
"Thanks Mom," she sighed, "Mom...we're not going home right? I mean...I finally made some friends...these people respect me..."

Amelia couldn't keep a soft smile off her face. She didn't really liked this war and, well, any war at that matter. Yet the thoughts of her shy and insecure daughter making some friends satisfied her. At home it was always hard for Abigail to befriend with somebody. Thinking about it, Amelia herself used to be rather unsociable child.
"We will go home," she said after a brief pause, "eventually. For now feel free to play with your new friends. Especially... Arthur, right? He seemed rather nice to me"
She grinned with a wicked gleam in her eyes. Her daughter 'boy issues' really interested her - she still remembered how her mother used to give her tips about boys and even though they'd never work, it still made them share kind of a bond. She sighed quietly. Oh mom, if only you were here to help me out...

Abigail blushed, the red color flushing to her face at the mention of Arthur. Seeing her mother grin only frustrated her more. She didn't have a crush on the blonde! Did she? He was her friend! Wasn't he? "Okay," she said, "And yeah it's Arthur. He's a king Mom! Even though he's younger than me! By like a year but whatever." She flicked a wrist and examined her claws so her mother wouldn't see how embarrassed she was and so she appeared casual.
"But yeah, he's uh he's cool, I guess," she yawned, "Um...how's Dad? Was he mad at me?" She flicked her eyes to the ground. Mom had a cool head and when she got in trouble with Mom it would be a hissing, calm but frightening 'go to your room.' But Dad was flustered and would have crazy incoherent outbursts. Not cruel mind you but he wasn't as level headed as Mom.

That young boy was already the king? That was quite impressive. And made him even a better pair for Abigail in Amelia's eyes. Arthur should be really responsible and smart youngster if he became a king in such a tender age. And even if they wouldn't end up as a couple, it would still be good for Abby to have such a friend.
After hearing her daughter question about father, Amelia winced unintentionally. When Abigail ran away, Delbert did have a huge panic attack, spending few days yelling and ranting and swearing to keep Abigail grounded for a few years or even more... It took Amelia quite a long time to calm him down. Maybe that's why they missed Daniel departure. Woman sighed. There was no point in thinking about this now.
"Well, he wasn't exactly happy about this." She said, wiggling her ears. "But it could be worse" For example, he could've gotten a heart attack.

"Heh, I can imagine," Abigail said, clicking a British sound to her voice and a panicked tone, "And for goodness sakes, why would she run away? Doesn't she know what kind of dangers are out there? Monsters and black holes and heaven knows what else. Blah, blah-oops." She forgot who she was talking to for a moment and grinned sheepishly at her mother.
"Sorry mum," she said, "But you AND Dad need to take a chill pill. I've been here a while and I haven't gotten hurt yet. I even got into a fight with this blue haired girl from the human villain's side!" She left out the part about having her behind handed to her by said blue haired girl. As her Dad always said 'Wait until your mother hears about this! Though we'll play down the life threatening parts.' She puffed her chest out proudly.
"I'm learning so much about Earth!" She squealed, "Like what things are called and such. The trees, the grass, the animals. Everything's so strange and new!" She turned over her shoulder.
"Mom, did you know anything about this planet? The creatures who rule here look like Uncle Jim."

Amelia rolled her eyes, trying to hold back a smile. Abby did sound quite like Delbert, not that captain would say this aloud. If there is something she knew about parenting, it was discipline, and discipline meant no encouragement to such activities. However, next words made her completely forget about it.
"You were fighting?!" she hissed, trying to hold back her anger "What were you thinking of? You could get hurt!" Or worse... Amelia shook her head, completely missing the last part of her daughter words. Of course, woman herself had taught her daughters basic fighting moves, but it was enough only to protect them from some drunken sailors or so... In a fight with an experienced warrior it won't help at all.
"And who won in this fight?" she asked, mildly interested even despite her worry.
