(July 16th open to hero generals and strategists; Basil basically.)
Nemo flopped towards the big coral looking rock called Pride Rock. Nemo had been built a few waterways in the camp and he was exstatic to be moving among the troops like he was a real hero. Little fish couldn't contain his smile as he dove in and out of the water to swim faster and faster. His little lucky fin was a blur of activity as he moved towards the big rock. There was a pool of water under priderock.
He lifted his head and shouted. He was in the middle of the tents where the generals were so hopefully they would hear him.
"HEY! HEY! I'VE GOT NEWS! NEWS FROM THE ENEMY'S CAMP!!!!" He hoped his little voice would carry. God how useful he felt right now.

Bambi, who had been moping around camp, happened to hear the little fish's call. Glad to be able to take his mind off of his troubles for a little while, he traced the source of the call, head swinging around in curiousity. Chocolate eyes gracing the ground, the light brown buck was able to spot a bright orange little fish in the water underneath priderock. Slightly surprised, he approached the little fish, leaning to to get as close to the fish's eye level as possible. The young prince didn't even have a clue as to the fact that they had fish on the hero's side. Let alone one's that claimed to be able to gain news from the enemy's side.
"What is it, little one?" Bambi asked, tilting his head, slightly. "Oh, I'm general Bambi, please do feel free to call me Bambi, though," He stated, offering the fish a smile. After spending a majority of the month by himself, he wasn't so sure how well Nemo would know him, besides, introductions never hurt, right?

"What is with all the shouting?" Irritable little rodent was irritable right now. Basil had just been working on one particularly brilliant battle strategy in his little corner of the general's tent when the small but persistant voice had shattered his concentration. Now, clad in his purple dressing gown over his normal clothes and holding a rolled - and now rather scrunched up - map of the nearby jungle in one hand and brandishing a shaprened pencil in the other, the miniscule detective glared down at the source of the disturbance. "Can we PLEASE have a little quiet so that the most brilliant-minded of us can think?"
He recognised the fish from the day he'd arrived, but the two hadn't exchanged words then. After a moment, Basil smoothed his hair, readjusted his tie, and placed his hands on his hips, looking down at Nemo. Since he was out now, at least, he may as well hear what the small creature had to say. "I suppose your news is something important, young man?" he said, his tone suggesting that if it wasn't, Nemo would do well to think twice about voicing it right now.

Nemo shrunk slightly. The older and more experienced members of the army were before him. The color drained a little from his fishy face. He frowned slightly. He hoped his information was important enough to impress the two Generals. He swam back and forth nervously. He breathed in deeply and lifted his head above the water to voice his discovery.
"Kay, you know how I said I wanted to be a spy? Well I went looking across the pridelands and found myself in the outlands! There was a flood and stuff! Scar's army is really tiny and I listened and a big scary lioness said it's cuz the animal villains have split into two armies!!!" He pulled his head beneath the water and puffed himself up proudly.
"They split up so Scar's army is weak! We should attack now!!! Right?" He peered up at Basil for approval.

The irritation seemed to fade somewhat from the rodent's face, to be replaced with a narrow-eyed thoughtful look. Scar's army had split up, and the usurper king had been left with the smallest part? Now that was useful news. "You don't say..." he muttered, unfolding the map that had become rather screwed up in his hand and quickly adding a number more notes to the battle plan he'd been drawing out on it, muttering to himself all the while. Ingenious though the strategy had undoubtedly already been, it would work twice as well if Scar had less numbers to bring into the fight. It might even take his army out of the picture completely, just so long as everything went perfectly to plan... "Yes... yes, that's it!" Still making lightning-fast calculations on the map - he could have done them in his head, but since the paper was here, after all... - Basil seemed to have forgotten Nemo's presence completely, so single-minded was his focus on the strategy he was cooking up. The detective vanished back into his tent without acknowledging the small fish again. (Sorry Nemo; no offense intended, this is just the way I imagine Basil would react So lost in his plans that he forgets that you're even there... feel free to try and get his attention again if you want XD)

Bambi tipped his head, listening to what Nemo had to say. Honestly, he was fairly surprised that the old flea-bag hadn't let his army split earlier. From what the young prince had heard, Scar had been hiding out in his cave for half the war. If Simba refused to show his face, then he was pretty sure the heroes would have the same turn out. But there was something that made slim to no sense in the light brown buck's head. Who would actually be able to take on Scar? The lion may have been old, but Bambi knew fairly well that he was a powerful feline. Very few of his warriors might have been able to overpower him, and he was pretty sure the few that had the strength were terribly loyal to the hyena king.
"Now, do you know who lead them away and where they are going to-" Bambi began, voicing his thoughts, only to see Basil beginning to walk away. Having been working and living around and with the mouse had taught the young prince that the strategist could get rather... Caught up in his planning. Although, the light brown buck shouldn't have been talking, seeing how caught up he was with his family's drama.
Tipping his head, Bambi gave a slight roll of his chocolate brown orbs, looking back over to Nemo. "Hold on, son, we'll both be right back," He insisted, straightening back out and heading after Basil. Trotting over to the mouse's tent, the animal trainer poked his head in, clearing his throught to catch Basil's attention. "You know, you might want to hear the little guy out, Basil," The young prince stated, only half teasing as he put on a slight smile. "He may be able to feed you more valuable information," He insisted, reading himself to go in after the mouse. "And you should at least thank him for walkin- uh, I mean swimming all the way out here," The light brown buck finished before throwing in an, "I'll see you out there," and walking back over to Nemo.
"Don't you worry, Basil should be back here, soon," Bambi insisted, smiling warmly at the little orange fish.

"Wait! Wait!" Nemo flopped in and out of the water, a frown on his chubby little face. "I've got more! I promise its important Mr. Mouse! I promise!" Nemo stared up at the deer, big eyes wide and shaking. He had information alright and he wanted to be sure the generals heard what he had to say. Even if there were just two of them; Nemo was confident they could use this information to their advantage. If Simba ever came out of his cave, Nemo would throw himself on dry land just to get the king to ehar what he had to say.
"Shouldn't somebody go get Simba?" He asked curiously, "I mean, it wouldn't do any good us just sitting here twiddling our fins...or hooves...or hands or whatever." He sheepishly flicked his tail back and forth. Pride filled his chest. He was doing something right for once...all by himself...
