Sword-Play

training thread for Eilonwy & Silver closed just for the 2 of em for now but i'll open it up in a page or so and if anyone else wants to train.

Silver was up bright and early the old cyborg had awoken before sunrise. Currently Silver was walking down the rows of tents that held his fellow souilders who would be no doubt sleeping still. Silver turns his head to see the sun peaking it's head over the horzion. "Mmm glory be" Silver breaths for because John it's was qutie a sight to behold. "Eilonwy?" Silver calls out quitely as to not wake the others "where ye be lass?" he calls a smirk on his face "it's time ta train"

The blonde princess had been very excited for her new training session. She was so excited that she barely slept the night before. Her hair bounced against her shoulders as she ran up to meet her mentor. "Right here Sir, sorry i'm late." she frowned. "How are your injuries?"

"yer not late luv the sun just got up 'I'm self" he chuckles and beckons her with a wave of his good hand towards the training Field "I'm feeling much better" he tells her "ya know ye don't have ta call me sir" he glances down at her as he walks "makes me feel older then i am" he shakes his head with a laugh "although.." he pauses mid step and rubs his mechanical leg "i will now have a permit limp in this ol' leg o' mine but enough of that" he says with a wave of his good hand as if swatting the thought away "what would ye like ta learn?"

"Oh well that's good to hear." Eilonwy said with a smile. "I mean your injuries healing and...if i can't call you Sir what can i call you?" she asked. "No offense but it seems more respectful to call you Sir than anything else." she crossed her arms over her chest. "I wanna learn everything!"

"heh just call me Silver or even John if ye like" he said glancing up at the cloudless sky "such a lovely mornin fer training eh" Silver shoots a large grin at her before taking a deep breath "everythin huh" Silver takes his hat off and fans himself with it would get hot in the coming hours "alright luv find yer self a wepond and we will start off with blocking attacks" he explains before switch his mechical hand to his sword with a quick flick of his wrist.

Eilonwy nodded her head at the statement about it being a lovely morning. "Oh yes, it is quite lovely." at however, the man's suggestion of finding a weapon she frowned. "Mr. Silver sir, i don't know where to find one, would a stick work or should i try making one with magic?"

Silver rubs his chin thinking for a moment "let's see what yer magic can do luv" Silver switches to his crutch for a moment. Seems like i'm doing that more and more theses days Silver thought to himself before forcusing at the task at hand. "although if ye want we can see how ye fair with a stick?" he leans his weight on his good leg.

"Alright." Eilonwy replied with a bright smile. If she remembered what Kida and Mirage taught her than things could go alright for her. "I think the stick would probably do best. Since i haven't used my magic in awhile, after all, sticks tend to look more like swords...at least i think so."

"suits me just fine lass" Silver grins and switchs to his sword again "but the down side if yer oppenit has a sword like my own 'tat stick 'o yers is gonna be cut to peices" Silve swings his sword cutting off a nerby branch from a small tree "ya see" he holds the stick out to her with his flesh hand. "now come at me"

Eilonwy nodded her head, she had thought about that, but in all truth, she was terrifed to use a sword, archery was one thing but swords were another. Taking her time to relax, she took a deep breath before running at Silver, swinging her stick in a rather harsh way.

"that a girl!" Silver growls and lunges up to meet Eilonwy useing his sword to block the wild attack at him "ye gotta not act so rash aim yer attacks luv" he instructs lightly pushing at her stick with his sword before taking a step back circling around the young girl. "t'ink fast luv i'm coming from behind" Silver sneers thrusting his sword gently at the young girls back.

Eilonwy turned quickly on her feet, if what Silver said was right then she take it to be graceful but still aim to be deadly. Turning her feet quickly she attempted to block the blade with the stick. This would be the most unlikely idea. She only hoped that it wouldn't break that easily, unless she had to use magic then she would use it. But for once the young girl wanted to try to do something without magic

"there we go" Silver praised as she blocked his blow from behind Silver quickly steps back and then quickly lunges to the side surprisingly fast on his feet despite his recent injury. "come at me again luv but I'll try something different" with another flick of his wrist Silver sword was replaced with his buzz saw "now I'm not gonna turn 'tis on so don't panic" he smirks and extends the buzz saw aiming it at her "ye jump lass" he tells her "it's like jump-rope"

Like jump-rope? Like jump-rop?! Eilonwy was pretty sure that playing jump-rope was more fun than doing so with a chainsaw and less dangerous to, but Silver was her teacher, so she could only do the most logical thing and listen to him. Being very careful not to get her dress tangled she did as he had told her. Jump. "Like this?" she asked

"Aye" he said "just like that" he smirks pulling back the buzz saw a little bit then jerking it towards the side "now i know the human villains may not have fancy stuff like i do but this will help with yer leg muscals" he said swinging the saw towards Eilonwy "get ready" he orders a detemerd smile appears on his face.
