Some fun heals all sadness

(The date is July 28th closed to Cadpig and Crescent for some much deserved fun and wackiness)

Cadpig still was feeling quite the effects of what had happened. Her brother and Father had died, as much as Badger tried to talk Cadpig out of being upset. She was still not what you call "Happy" It had been a while since she had played, like really played with any of her siblings. And today was no different. Rolly was off doing whatever Rolly did. She was pretty sure Tripod was training. She was almost positive all the pups had something to do. She still felt that she deserved some play time. Any of the pups could join with her if they wanted too.................that was.

She soon got into the water and tested the water with a paw before climbing into the water. She began swimming around in small circles. It was awful hard to play with a friend when there were no friends around.

Crescent was running again, running away from...nobody. It was her game again, something to pass the time as Partner was never going to let her into battle again. She was bored so she rushed to the watering hole. Seeing Cadpig she shut her mouth, tail tucked between her legs and head lowered. She almost looked like a black and white ball.

Cadpig was one of the cool pups like Lucky and Rolly. Doofy femme wasn't sure she was cool enough to hang out with Cadpig.

"His Miss Cadpig," she squeaked.

Cadpig had been lounging swimming on her back till she heard a voice. She nearly went under water as she saw Crescent and stopped paddling for a moment. She had seen Crescent looking a little bit down. And truth be told all she wanted to do was play with any pup. If Crescent wasn't going to initiate a game. Cadpig was just gonna have to initiate a game herself. Cadpig had no problem doing something like that. She paddled a bit closer to Crescent and then stopped. She then splashed Crescent a little bit. "Hey, Crescent come into the water and play with me. The water feels great, and it's not gonna bite you watch. " Cadpig said splashing Crescent just a little bit more. "See"? She said with a playful smile.

Crescent moved a little closer to the water. Cadpig wanted to play? With her? What was that all about? The cooler pups like Lucky and Dipstick and Mooch all told her she should go chase her tail somewhere or bury a bone. By herself. She hated being by herself, it was no fun at all. She lowered her head between her front paws and scuffled close to the water.

"You sure you wanna play Cadpig?" she asked, "I'm not so cool as the other doggies. I'm not as cool as Rolly or Lucky or Mooc or Dipstick..." Tail wagged softly. If Cadpig really did wanna play, she'd be thrilled to have a game with her.

Cadpig cocked her head a little bit concerned for her. "Well last time I checked I wasn't Dipstick, Rolly, or Mooch, I'm Cadpig but I could look again if you want" Cadpig said and then looked into the water at her reflection as a joke. "Yup, I'm still Cadpig. I always thought you were one of the cool pups on the farm. We just hung out in different circles you know? But, right now there are no circles, there's just Crescent and Cadpig. And I would really like you to play with me. Come on Crescent, just jump in. We could play Marco Polo or Water tag or whatever you want" Cadpig said Cadpig got the same sort of feeling when Mooch and Gurri were having that mud fight. And even though it was shortlived they still let Cadpig play with them. And she remembered how happy she was, and now it was her turn to make Crescent happy. "Come on Crescent just jump in the water and let's play" Cadpig said she was obviously not gonna take no for an answer.
