New Arc

While I really think this is a really clever and very interesting acr (I do not find it repetitive since the black death is the deadliest plague there is and it's actually a horrible disease to contract), I don't think I'll have my only character get infected with it lD
But Zukki will grow heavily paranoid and find place to hide from basically everyone in fear her cubs might contract the disease, so it's likely she'll be overly aggressive during that period of time.

Angel- So... let me get this straight... You don't want to roleplay out an illness that has taken a huge part in real life history, that's common and well thought out for a war based story arc, that involves rashes/coughing/vomiting/black spots on skin/etc, because it makes you uncomfortable And exposes you to becoming squeamish with other rpers portraying it around your rp's? Don't want to seem like a bitch here when I call some bullshit, but you've had Angel's eye ripped out of its' socket before and a multitude of other wounds rp'd out in pretty gory details by you and other rper's 'around' you? I figure there wouldn't be much a problem, but DWOW needs some more story arcs and however un-creative you and Strike might think this is, or squeamish it makes you, it IS an arc, and something to provoke some more interesting rp if people use it right. You speaking up and against this arc wouldn't be a big problem if you maybe provided some other option to go with story-line wise, but since most of your plots revolve around your characters specifically/the smaller groups/animals of DWOW, I feel the need to call you out on it. :I

New Arc

Hey, I never said I had anything against it, or that it was uncreative. I just meant that I, personally, didn't really want to play a part in this one. (Besides which, the only part of Strike's post I was agreeing with was when he said it seemed to rely on at least a certain number of people dying, not any of the rest of it, and Nasira already answered me on that point.) Looking back on what I said, maybe I didn't make myself clear enough, but it is a good arc idea, and I have no problem whatsoever with it going ahead. I'd just like to be excused from the threads where people are vomitting blood; personal preference on my part is all. I hope that's not too much to ask?
Though going back to the point in my first post, I'm a little still confused. The plague kills its victims within four days; the cure isn't to be found until half way through the month... surely eveyone's characters who caught the plague initially ought to be dead by that point, then, whether they want to kill said characters or not? Again, let me emphasise that I'm not trying to stop the arc from going ahead, I just want to understand this part.

I think if you're not contributing to finding an arc that you find more suitable in whatever ways, you shouldn't contribute to being against an arc that's already been decided and worked on. They did a good job on their research, and being a staff member yourself you have a lot of pull to make people view an interesting (And ultimately optional) plot turn into a negative thing. :I

I'm not *trying* to be against it. Just because I'm not going to be participating doesn't mean I'm not in full support of everyone else going ahead with it. But if it matters so much, then fine, I'll go ahead and delete my posts if you want.

Sounds like an interesting plotline ^^ It would make sense for me to have Olivia infected, since she's a mouse and therefore she would be carrying the disease and spreading it, but is there any way I could get around killing her off? I think this is what Angel was trying to say, and since Olivia is a rodent she would probably be among the first to have the disease, right?
Other than that, I'd love to be involved :3 Might also get Dottie infected, maybe

Uh actually the rodents carry the fleas; that doesn't mean they have to affect them. From what I read, a good majority of the time rats and rodents don't actually get infected by the disorder.
So it's plausible some of the characters are just rides for infected fleas.

Again, let me emphasise that I'm not trying to stop the arc from going ahead, I just want to understand this part. I didn't make up the time limit; the 'four days' part is historically accurate. However, I do think it wouldn't hurt to extend it to a week or even state it depends on the person/animal, thus giving members more of a choice. Last plague, I was sort of counting on the fact that everyone wouldn't get sick at the same time, but that didn't happen, and I don't expect it to happen this time around either. I'll edit the first post.

I'll have Aladdin remain clean to add to the suspicion that he started it, although logically if he started it I don't think he would purposely infect Shan-yu.
