(October 29th Closed to Crescent/Dixie and myself)
Badger sniffed the air, letting the wind blow through her spotted pelt. It was days like this that always made her kind of smile. Windy days where scents came easy to her and the sun was strong- strong enough for her to feel the intensity of it on her speckled hide. The windy pushed back the long strands of grass, and for a moment, she felt like she could see again. See the golden fronds of grass, waving and rippling like an ocean. The bright, fiery red and orange orb above her head, cropped by the vibrant blue of the sky. She could remember it. For a moment, it was just as if she had closed her eyes. She had closed her eyes and Mortaray was beside her with Onyx and the others. They were all there, laughing and singing and playing. The only difference was, when that moment was over, and she opened her eyes, the brilliant colours of the world did flood her vision.
The darkness remained. Mortaray was still gone. Onyx was still gone. The laughter was... Well... It wasn't entirely gone.
Smiling softly, she turned her head to her present companion; Crescent. The girl was still doofy as ever, but she made awful good company, even the blind canine could admit that. Along with Dusty, Crescent was one of the few who could ever make her forget about, well, everything. Her pain, sorrow, loss. It all dissipated if she had her head thrown back, laughing as her adopted sibling said something particularly funny. It was nice, to be able to focus on those who she had, and not those who she lost. It was somewhat of a nice change for the spotted female, and she hoped that her friend felt the same. Badger could only hope that Crescent enjoyed her company as much as she did.
"Hey, Crescent, you like hanging out with-" The mixed-eyed Dalmatian slowly began, cocking her head as she spoke, quickly halting though, as she realized that the doofy girl wasn't walking alongside her, anymore. Frowning, she turned around, attempting to catch Crescent's scent.
Frowning, she perked her ears. "Crescent," Badger woofed softly, "What's keeping you?"
(Eeep, sorry for the minor god modding, I just kinda had to use it to set the scene, sowwy xP)
