(( Feb 23rd, early morning, open to heroes. Spring introduction thread. No risk))
Grass and flowers sprouted from the ground as the sprite walked into the camp. Her gold eyes scanned the surroundings, everything was quiet in the early morning hours, so peaceful. There were many tents lined up in rows, a light could be seen here or there, indicating someone awake inside. Silently Spring took to the air, gliding over the grass until she came to a rock and perched herself on it. Her hair billowing like a cloud around her small face.
What a curious place this was. Why was it here? Spring wasn't sure, but it must be for a reason, perhaps one of the occupants of this encampment could tell her. She could sense many animals of all sorts were around this place, how wonderful! She smiled at the thought of meeting the creatures that lived here.

(ooc: It's been way too long since I got Ray involved in much of anything, so here goes.)
How the heroes had been managing through this eternal darkness was beyond Ray, to be honest. Ever since the darkness had settled in, he'd been finding it harder to keep going. He almost wanted to just go home and forget the war entirely. However, he couldn't do that right then. For one thing, Vixey still needed him to support her. A fair amount of time had passed since Tod's passing, but he wanted to stay with Vixey regardless of that fact. Another good reason he was staying was because Tiana was staying involved in the war. Even though there was precious little he could do to support her efforts, and even though they hadn't spoken much in some time, he still wanted to remain there. Call it a desire to help his friends that wasn't amounting to much in the grand scheme of things. Whatever the reason, though, the little firefly insisted on staying in the war. Maybe one day he'd actually do something of merit. The chances of that were practically nonexistent, of course, but hey. He could dream.
It was as he was flitting through the camp that something odd caught his eye. He was keeping his light on, just in case any of the smaller members of the army needed guidance, and in the dim glow of said light he saw something amazing. There were plants springing up from the ground wherever a beautiful green creature seemed to go. He'd never seen anything like it before! But who was she? Where had she come from? More importantly, what was a pretty being like herself doing wanting to get caught up in a cruel war? Ray had to find out.
"S'cuse me, cher!" Ray called to her as he flitted over. "Ah couldn't help seein' what y'all were doin' just now, and... Ah gotta say, it's amazin'. Ah ain't never seen anythin' like it before. How do you do that?"
The questions had spouted up before he could stop them, and Ray realized how rude it must have sounded. He hadn't even introduced himself. Not only that, but he had also neglected to ask the sprite what her own name was. A faint blush formed on the firefly's cheeks and reflected itself in the glow of his abdomen. Perhaps he ought to try again.
"Ah mean... Ma apologies, darlin'. Ma name's Ray. What's yours?"

Spring sat on the cool rock, listening to the peaceful sounds of the sleeping land and it's inhabitants. The land was so quiet at night, and now with the perpetual night time, it seemed even more so. A small flickering light caught the sprite's attention however, as it fluttered away not too far from where she was, heading in her direction. As the small light grew closer, she could make out the tiny form of a firefly. How useful it must be to have your own light to guide you, especially in times like these.
She smiled as the tiny bug flew up to her and introduced himself, though not before asking a few questions first. Spring brought a small hand up to her mouth in a silent giggle, a certain light shining in her eyes. "Hello Ray, it's wonderful to meet you." She smiled "my name is Spring, I'm a nature sprite." as if to demonstrate, she waved a hand above the grass, a green shine followed the path of her hand, and flowers bloomed from the ground, vibrant and beautiful.

"Hmm?" Redeyes' failing eyesight due to his magical eye managed to spot the newcomer. He had never seen anything like that back in his forest home. Racking his mind the bear-turned human wandered closer to check it out, spotting Ray talking to the newcomer who then introduced herself as Spring, a nature sprite. The man's eyes widened as the sprite gave a wave of her hand and new grass and flowers sprout beneath it.
"How did you do that?" Redeyes breathed out in wonder.

"Nature sprite? Do you mean to say that you are 'mother nature?" the soft sounding voice of Mrs. Jumbo rumbled out of the darkness as she walked forward, lightly on those huge tree-trunk like legs of hers. She came to a stop some feet away from Spring and her fellow medic Ray.
"Hello, Ray and you Redeyes," she greeted, the little lighting bug and then the man before her baby blue eyes then flicked over to Spring, trying to figure out what just she could be? A rumble from deep inside her was given as the sprite created grass and flowers with just a wave of her hand.

"Whooooooaaaaaaa lady! That was amazing!"
Her little trinket of a collar around her neck jingled against her white chest as she ran towards the sprite. To Crescent, magic was becoming more and more common. After all her new owner had ice powers. But Crescent's little mind was still filled with amazement and delight every time she saw someone perform what she thought of as a feat of magic. So to see the spring sprite do, pretty much what was the opposite of Elsa, made her stomach churn with glee.
She tripped over a rock and rolled into Red Eyes feet. She blinked up at him, her fur prickling slightly as she walked away. There was something about him she didn't like.
"Hi buggy!" She said with a squeal, lifting up to Ray to greet him, "Hi buggy! Hi! Wow, lady that was craaaaazy! Can you make flowers? What about grass too? That's so cool! My name's Crescent. Iiiiiii'm a princess' doggy!" She puffed her chest out to show off the shine of the gem on her chest.

Post by Aladar on Oct 29, 2015 16:01:02 GMT -5
"Whoa, that sure was!" Aladar trotted over to the group and stopped besides Mrs. Jumbo, giving the elephant and the others that had joined the group a friendly smile. "I'm Aladar!" he introduced himself to Spring. Much like the rest of the group, the large dinosaur was curious as to what the heck she was. That got answered when the words 'nature sprite' was heard, and Aladar frowned, more so in confusion than in anger. "A what? what's a sprite?" he asked the humanoid like creature.

"Crescent?"
She might not be the one with the canine sense of smell; still, Anna had been tracking down her friend. Truth be told, the young princess was... well, not bored, exactly. After thirteen years spent learning how to occupy herself and kill time when she had no-one else to share it with, boredome took on a whole new meaning, and it wasn't one she'd experienced here yet.
Even so, the princess wanted some company; someone she could have some fun with, play around with for a bit. Elsa would usually have been her go-to choice, always had been and always would be, but Anna knew that was discouraged for the moment. Her sister, she was almost certain, was still recovering from her wounds sustrained during the attack on the camp - and she'd been told in no uncertain terms by the medics not to excite the platinum blonde until she was recovered.
Truth be told, Anna was still a tiny bit ashamed of herself from that battle. In her hurry to reach Elsa, she'd failed to pay attention to anything else around her. She'd been taken out, not by an intentional attack, but by flying debris knocking her down, and had woken up in the med tent once the battle was over, suffering nothing worse than a mild concussion and a few scrapes.
It wasn't her proudest moment.
Back in the present, however, the princess had been seeking out the newest addition to the Arendelle royal family. Crescent's wounds had been mended much quicker than Elsa's, and the adorable pup was up and about and lively as ever, so Anna was certain she'd be up for something; and a half-hour of searching was rewarded as she caught sight of the youthful canine up ahead in the light of a small firefly. Lifting her own lantern higher as she approached, Anna couldn't help but notice some of Crescent's current company; an elephant, a massive bear of a man, and... was that a dinosaur?!
Carefully giving the large trio a wary wide berth Anna moved to Crescent's side, settled herself down in the grass besides the pup.
"What're you looking-- Wow."
Anna cut her question off short as she got the answer herself. A green-skinned woman making flowers grow; well, it wasn't something you saw every day, Anna would freely admit to that. It perhaps shouldn't have been such a surprise - if Elsa could have winter magic, what was to say someone else couldn't have spring magic too? - but all the same, Anna found herself stunned by the beauty of it. She reached out a hand, fingers dancing over the petals as she carefully caressed.
"They're really beautiful," she confessed, turning an awed smile in the Sprite's direction.

Many other creatures of all shapes and sizes started to make their way to where the Sprite sat. Her yellow eyes sparkled with wonder at all the new faces. Many of them seemed entranced by her ability to create flowers seemingly from thin air. She let out a small laugh, that sounded like the twinkling of bells and the soothing songs of birds. "Nature sprite? Do you mean to say that you are 'mother nature?" Spring rested her gaze on the elephant, giving a nod. "That is what some know me by, yes. But you can all call me Spring." She smiled as many of the group introduced themselves, giving a small tilt of her head at all of them in turn. The small dalmatian's energetic introduction brought another laugh from the sprite's lips. "It's wonderful to meet all of you."
"A what? what's a sprite?" She turned her attention to the dinosaur, twirling a cloud of her flowing hair around her finger. "well... Sprites are embodiments of nature. Earth, water, air, ice...fire..." A small shadow of fear crossed her eyes at the word fire, but quickly vanished as she continued talking. "we control all the nature around us. We bring forth the seasons, and breath new life into the world." "They're really beautiful," She turned her eyes to the newest addition to the little group, a human girl, who sat down next to the little puppy. She smiled, waving a hand in front of her to produce another flower, a night-blooming cereus. It's petals seemed to glow white, and the smell from the delicate flower was entrancing, even to the sprite. With a nod, she passed it to the lady. "thank you, I do pride myself on them."

"Anna? Crescent"? A voice had said. It was not to much longer until Olaf had walked up to Anna and the royal Ice puppy. Ever since, what had happened to Crescent and Elsa. Olaf had been a ton more vigilant. He felt terrible that he hadn't been there, and done something to save Elsa, and Crescent. He promised himself, that he would never let it happen again, and that he would be there no matter what. Olaf sat down next to Anna and Crescent. He gasped in wonder at the fairy like creature.
"Wow, that was amazing little fairy thing. Your magic is amazing" Olaf said obviously not knowing who Spring was, and that she was a sprite not a fairy.
"How did you do that"? Olaf asked. Magic still fascinated him, he was created by magic, too but, every time he saw magic, it still fascinated him.
