(Closed to myself and Zira, date is the 2nd of March.)
To be honest, Clarice wasn't exactly interested in keeping with news in the War, she had better things to do, like getting others to do work for her, instead of doing it herself. So it was quite interesting and surprising to the pudgy female when she had heard whispers and comments about new things going in the Pridelands, other than the recovery of the army after the attack of the Human Villains. She heard the news when she left the Outlands and came back into her army's camp to get some food. Well, Clarice overheard it during her flights. First off, there was Kula, the giant red lioness who had simply waltzed inside the Pridelands, no questions asked or even raised by her appearance in the camp and was apparently planning a revolution of some sorts. Then there was Kion and his mother, Nala. Simba's sheltered only son and heir to the throne, whom most of the army probably didn't know he even existed came out to the army for the first time. His mother however, she was a different case altogether. Apparently Nala went bat-shit insane for a bit and killed one of those small spotted creatures that seemed to be running around everywhere in the War. For some reason, she was allowed to walk around freely around others after the incident, instead of being punished for her crime, like one would expect to happen.
That is not right, just because she is the mother of a Prince and the Wife of a King does not mean she should be allowed to walk freely around others after it. That is not how it works. The vulture mused to herself as she flew over the border that separated the Pridelands and the Outlands. In her talons, Clarice held a piece of rotting meat, that she had found, instead of tricking a male vulture out of it. Although she wasn't ordered with getting new information from the Pridelands, the pudgy female felt that she should tell the tan lioness, after all, it was better a few days late then never. As she approached the ruling monarch's den, she opened up her claws and dropped the hunk of meat on the ground, it landed with a small thud. Although she didn't want to leave her food alone, Clarice also didn't want Zira to use it as leverage on the vulture. Oh, what is a girl to do? Green eyes stared longingly at the food on the ground, wishing she didn't do that, but she couldn't undo what was already done. With a sigh, she pulled her eyes away from the meat as she neared the den. Silently, she flew in with a soundless gulp, fear had started to build up in the female, however, she had to get over it if she was ever going to deliver the news to the lioness. Oh, just do it and get it over with already! The small voice in the back of her head spoke.
It wasn't hard to spot the tan lioness in the cave. "Queen Zira?" She paused, silently, Clarice flew closer towards the female . "I have news from the Pridelands." Another pause. "A lioness called Kula has started to plan a revolution of some sorts within the Pridelands. Kion, Simba's heir and son has finally seen the army and after Nala murdered a spotted creature is allowed to walk around freely." As she spoke, Clarice continued to flap her wings, she didn't want to land and accidentally sit on someone's tail. Silently, she awaited the Queen's answer and reaction to the news.
