(March 9th, 'bout midnightish. Closed to Mooch.)
No... it was impossible. A simple fleeting thought at most.
Vitani shook her backside as if to get rid of the nervous energy which had been racing through her since this morning. Ever since she woke up, there had been a nagging through in the back of her head - a whisper, almost that ran through her head. It had made the lioness nervous - more than she had been recently, anyways. She refused to believe it - not until she got a second opinion by someone. Vitani had decided to ignore it for now - she simply needed to talk to someone about it… that was all that was eating her. At least, that was what Vitani was trying to convince herself of as she padded across the camp, each paw-step slow as she moved past the row of tents.
And there was one person Vitani was sure she could trust for the most part - sure, they hadn’t had a one-on-one talk on a while, but Mooch had always been her friend on the Heroes - heck, she, Mooch, and Scamp had been the best of friends only just a little while ago. It still hurt to think that they had ‘used to’. But that was only one of the multitude of problems that were being built up. It was only the start of everything - at least that was what Vitani feared.
Vitani paused as she came to the front of Mooch’s and Gurri’s tent, her tail flicking nervously behind her as her blue eyes stared at the flap of the tent. Most likely, Gurri was in there with Mooch. And while Vitani did consider Gurri a friend - she hadn’t ever been a complete best friend. Not like Mooch. And Vitani wasn’t sure if she could truly trust what she was about to say in the deer-turned-dog. Not at the moment, anyway. It wasn’t against her personally - but Vitani wasn’t ready to admit it to her just yet.
Poking her head gently through the flaps, Vitani peered down upon the two sleeping forms, before starting to whisper in an attempt to wake up Mooch without disturbing Gurri in the meantime. “Mooch!” Her voice, while Vitani had meant for it to come out as quiet as it could, it went an octave higher than she thought it would, betraying the anxious nature of the lionesses currently. Picking up a paw hesitantly, Vitani reached over before gently poking Mooch in the back - if the sound of his own name hadn’t woken him up, Vitani was sure that the prod of her paw would.
Satisfied, Vitani retreated from the tent, and sat down in the middle of path, carefully facing the tent while her blue eyes simply glowed in the darkness as she awaited for Mooch to emerge from the den.
