We're about to leave a legacy

(March 12th at midnight, open to the hyenas, Scar, Zira and their cubs are allowed to come in. Come and meet the new matriarch! In case anyone asks, I'm going to assume that Shenzi got preggers some time after Zira gave birth and she probably wouldn't know the signs of her pregancy, due to never having any cubs before.)

To be completely honest, Shenzi was completely unaware that she had cubs growing inside of her, when the signs of her pregnancy first showed, she just assumed she had come down with something and that it would pass sooner or later. Shenzi was wrong. Very wrong. Golden eyes suddenly snapped open, they softly glowed inside the dark den. Her stomach cramped and in response to the sudden cramping, she gritted her teeth and seethed, it hurt, but she was going to get through it, whatever "it" was anyway. Silently, she turned her head to look at the sleeping bundle of grey and black fur next to her, depending if he decided to open his eyes or wake up, Shenzi could do whatever she wanted while the male was asleep. Better ask the healers what it is. She silently got up and padded towards the back of the cave, where one of said healers slept. To be honest, it was hard to simply get up and walk without the cramps reminding the spotted female of its existence, but for now, she would simply have to suck it up and move on. She nudged the sleeping bundle a few times before the other hyena stirred and eventually woke up. "Shenzi? What would d'ya want?" In answer, the spotted female stated that she had stomach cramps. "When d'ya get 'em?" "A few minutes ago-ahhh ffuuck." The pain only got worse and worse. The healer knew exactly what was going on with Shenzi, it was simple really; she had cubs inside of her. "Ummm, you might want ta sit down now." It caused her to raise an eyebrow, why would she need to sit down? As if reading her mind, the healer calmly stated that the next part would only painful.

With a confused expression etched onto her face, she did what was told and sat down. Just like the other hyena had said, it did get more painful. Uncharacteristically, Shenzi gave out a loud whine, then a whimper and finally, a painful groan. "Just breathe in and out." That pissed her off, how did that help the pain at all? Stupid..."FFUUCK." Her expression changed into one of agony. Why does it hurt so fuckin' much? Shenzi angrily thought, but the pain finally lessened when the first cub slipped from her. She let out a small groan of relief, at least the pain didn't hurt as much as it did a few minutes prior. Golden eyes looked down at the cause of the agony Shenzi just went through. A pair of golden eyes that matched her's and Banz's perfectly. It was a tiny cub. A cub? The spotted female put two and two together, so this was why she felt like she was sick and she had stomach cramps. She was pregnant and had just gone into labour, with Banzai's cubs. It was pretty obvious that he was the father, he was the only male she had been with. The cub tried to snap its tiny jaws at the healer, the spotted creature had apparently inherited it's father's short fuse. Shenzi smiled at her child and gently picked it up and moved it closer towards her. Carefully, she flipped it over, it was a son, not that it wasn't bad or anything, but Hyena society needed a female leader. The pain returned as another bundle of black fur left the spotted female, thought it came out easier than the first.

The female carefully moved it next to the firstborn. It stared at its elder brother calmly, then tiny golden eyes looked at Shenzi. The firstborn son had turned its head around to the younger sibling. It was obvious that he didn't like it one bit and he demonstrated that by attacking the other sibling. It whimpered for its elder brother to stop, for Shenzi to help him, but she didn't. It was cruel, in a way, but it was what happened. The bundle of black fur soon realised that nobody was going to help out, so the cub attacked the elder sibling, hatred gleamed in its eyes. The fight between the two didn't last too long since both were healthy. At least one of 'em doesn't have to die now. The spotted female bitterly mused to herself, once again, she flipped the younger cub over. It was another son. Moto and Chuki. Fire and Hated, they were perfect names for her sons. Fire for the older one's fiery temper and hate for the younger one's hatred and which it clearly possessed. Suddenly, the pain in her stomach returned, though it was lessened due to the first two cubs were already out. "ANOTHER?" Shenzi angrily cried out, not exactly caring anymore if some of her clan-mates were woken up from her outburst. The final cub soon came out, it was bigger than the first two. Let it be a girl, let it be a girl, let it be a girl. The words repeated inside of her head like a mantra.

Chuki and Moto stared at their younger sibling and slowly started to attack it. Once again, the second fight didn't last too long, mainly due to that the older cubs immediatly started being submissive to the younger cub, in order to avoid being completely pummelled by the youngest sibling. It was pretty obvious what gender the final cub was, but Shenzi wanted to check, just to be sure. Once again, she flipped it over. It was a girl. "What would you like to name her?" "Urithi." It meant legacy and a few other words, but it was obvious what she was going to be named. She was a little legacy. "For the boys, Moto for the older one and Chuki for the younger one." The spotted female looked down at her cubs as she spoke. It probably wasn't a good idea to name the cubs without Banzai's input, but she could do what she goddamn wanted whenever he wasn't around. The healer silently nodded and padded away, leaving the new mother to spend some time with her cubs. Ears perked up at the sound of something or someone approaching. Instinctively, Shenzi turned her head around to face whoever or whatever was approached the spotted female and her three little hell-raisers.

Banzai had still been sleeping when his mate left, completely unaware of everything that was currently going on. He did, however, grumble with the sudden loss of head, but readjusted and snorted as he fell back asleep. All while Shenzi, unknowingly, was going into labor, Banzai was having a dream of his own. To him, it was an absolute dream, but to others it might've been something else. It was full of symbolism, of fear, of fire, of gore, even of reassurance. When he had mated with Shenzi, he had no idea that his seed would actually be accepted, but he was going to find out in a few minutes.

In his dream, there were three little lights that circled above him. Each of them glorious in their own way, carrying a different hue. The first one was red, like a fire, and gave off the heat of one. It was full of energy, of temper, of a simmering and boiling attitude. It came crashing down upon the hyena's head, filling his belly with a fire of everything and anything. Banzai felt himself whimper slightly at the impact but focused on the other two. The second orb was green, but not a nature green. It was ugly, jealous, angry, and full of loathing. It, too, came crashing down on his head and relayed all of those feelings to him. Banzai felt jealous, felt hatred, to even the most innocent of things. This impact did more to the male, nearly knocking him to the ground, but he stood up and looked at that final orb. This was one bigger, brighter, than the others. Its hue was a pure gold draped in royal tendrils of violent. It radiated royalties, loyalty, determination, and something else that the male couldn't exactly explain, but it was strong. Banzai didn't have any time to brace himself as the last orb crashed into him and sprung him awake.

Banzai knew. He just knew it, and once he blinked the sleep from his eyes and saw the healer, that was all the confirmation he needed. "You sired cubs. They are here," the healer said simply. Banzai blinked his golden eyes and nodded. "I know. Take me there," he demanded, preening in gratification when she obeyed. Being the head patriarch, just under Shenzi, definitely had some perks. The male hyena followed the healer down deeper into the cave, venturing on his own once he got closer to the nursery. There he saw his mate, along with three tumbling balls of fur, and smirked to himself. He was...proud and full. Like nothing he'd ever felt before. "Couldn't 've waited until I woke up, huh?" he smirked, moving over to sit down beside her, giving her ear a tentative, but affectionate, lick. 

It had turned out that the visitor was none other than the cubs' father and Shenzi's mate, a small smirk had appeared on her muzzle at the sight of Banzai. To be honest, she was both glad and relieved that it was him and not somone else, the female really wasn't in the mood to deal with anyone else. Especially their inevitable and (most likely) cliche'd questions about the cubs and what had lead up to them. Just the idea of it happening made the female want to sink her teeth into whoever or whatever asked and make them bleed. Badly. Heh, that'd be fun. Shenzi mused darkly, it had been a very long time since the trio had done something like that. No, long wasn't the correct word to describe it. In her opinion, it felt much more like forever. Yes, very fun. As Banz spoke, she was snapped out of her thoughts and back down to reality. Meanwhile, the cubs stared directly up at him and blinked a few times, they had no idea who this strange male was or what he was doing there. Urithi tilted her head to the right, Moto had a confused expression on his face and Chuki, well he just continued to stare at his dad, not really sure of what to do.                    
         
"Couldn't 've waited until I woke up, huh?"

Jokingly, Shenzi rolled her eyes, her smirk was still on her muzzle. Although he was joking, it wasn't that funny, but she decided to humour him anyway. "No, I guess not Banz." The female replied as he sat down next to her and gave her ear a lick. A small smile, or what could be described as a smile (depending on who you asked) appeared on her muzzle and replaced her smirk. She turned her head around and gently nudged Moto forward, until he was close enough for her to pick him up by with her mouth. Gently, Shenzi placed him closely to his dad and reapeated what she had done with her first cub until all three were near Banzai. However, Urithi was a little closer than her older brothers. "Her name's Urithi and the boys are Moto and Chuki." She introduced the small hyenas to her mate, before Shenzi placed her head on Banz's shoulder. Although the spotted female was rarely affectionate, it seemed like the right thing to do, especially considering what happened.
