(Set March 12th. Closed to Aladdin for a Jasmine/Aladdin reunion)
It had been a few weeks since Jasmine's return to the Pridelands and slowly the princess was getting into the routine of camp life. It was so much better to be amongst the Heroes again than cooped up as a prisoner in Agrabah. There was only one thing missing...or rather one person.
Jasmine had given her testimony to the Generals about what had happened in Agrabah, to the best of her knowledge. Her knowledge wasn't as comprehensive as they had liked it to be but it was information nonetheless. Despite her ability to wander freely under Aladdin's leadership, Jasmine had decided it better if she didn't wander too far for fear of the army turning on her in revenge. It also seemed like they had no knowledge of Aladdin's whereabouts either. Her hopes of them having any information from the time between his disappearance and her return to the Pridelands was dashed. Even Clopin, who had been so close with him, was just as clueless as she was to Aladdin's fate. Was he alive or dead? It seemed no one knew the answer to that.
In the meantime, she had tried to make herself as useful as she possibly could. Her days of sitting around on the side-lines being useless were far behind her. She was a Hero, just as much as any of the other soldiers despite her lack of fighting experience, she would pull her weight around the camp. Perhaps one day she would see Aladdin again...she hoped for that more than anything.
Today, she was gathering medicinal herbs for the MASH tent, with medical supplies being low it was important to use what nature provided alongside the modern equipment. Each day she tried to seek out a new task to fill her time so at least she could get as much experience as possible in the case of an emergency. So, Jasmine wandered the safe zone around the camp, picking up as many plants as she could from the small guide book she had been given.
For now, however, Jasmine had stopped to rest. Despite the darkened sky over the Pridelands, the heat still beat down like it was midday in the savannah. Despite Agrabah's warm climate, Jasmine still found herself tiring from the manual work and had decided to rest for a while near the watering hole. The cool water was refreshing and warmly welcomed. She would move on again soon enough but for now she sat engrossed in her own thoughts.
