(march 1st, early morning, low risk introduction thread, open to all AVs)
The lands here were much different than what the doe was used to. Even with the ever lasting darkness overhead, she could see that much was true. Where there were many trees and rivers where she'd come from, here there was only dust and termite mounds. Dyani was starting to have second thoughts as her hooves made a soft thump on the ground with every step, kicking up dust as she went.
She'd come this far though, what sense was there in turning back now? She walked through the desolate waste land, her blue eyes scanning for any sign of life. Was there even anyone still here? Had they all perished due to the living conditions, or perhaps one of the other armies killed them off? If that was the case where would she go now?
She came to a halt, head held high as she scanned around, seeing nothing but dirt, dust and termite hills, she decided to do the next best thing.
"hello?" she called out, "Is anyone here?"
Her ears perked up, twitching this way and that as she listened for any sort of reply. Ready to run if anything that responded to her call were to do so with hostility.

"Hello? Is anyone here?"
The great Herne (God of all deer) had most definetly shined upon him this day. Ronno's forest green eyes zeroed in on the doe, she was perfect in every way, maybe even more so then Faline. Two things swayed greatly in the bucks' favor, one, she was with the animal villains and two, well, she was a doe. Had Ronno been human he would of slicked his hair back and strutted right on over to her. God he hoped this would go over well. Ronno took a deep breath and strutted out of the darkness, long legs trotted over to the female with a pompous smirk on his face.
"Yes, I am," He answered back, "My name is Ronno." he tossed his head back, almost as he was trying to show off his antlers. "You must be new here? Aren't you?"

One ear flicked in the direction of steps on the dusty ground. Blue eyes narrowed into the darkness, trying to decipher whether it was a predator or not. Out of the dark shadows came something Dyani hadn't been expecting, another deer. She wasn't sure what sorts of creatures she'd expected to be in the army, but the fact that there was other deer lessened her worries some about possible predators running her down.
After the initial surprise wore off, Dyani got a better look at the buck in front of her. Dark brown fur, green eyes and a 6 point rack, she couldn't deny, he was quite good looking. Her ear gave a small flick as he spoke. "nice to meet you Ronno, I'm Dyani." she dipped her head in greeting. At Ronno's question, she looked back up and gave a coy smile "Isn't it obvious?" she laughed.
Her cerulean eyes gazed around the barren lands, before landing back on the buck in front of her "I came here to join the army, I am in the right place, aren't I?"

"What kinda weird llama are you?"
Kishan strutted forward through the darkness, black fur giving him the ability to blend in without a problem, and he looked over the pair of deer before him. He wasn't at all familiar with Ronno, or at least didn't think he was, and he knew that the doe was a stranger. As far as the growing cub was concerned, though, they were a pair of odd llamas that happened to possess antlers in one case. How odd... But he wasn't going to question it too far if he could help it. Sure he'd already asked what sort of odd llamas they were, more specifically speaking to Dyani than anyone else, but that was about all the questioning he'd do. The small feline stood up a bit taller and squinted a bit at Dyani again.
"This is the outlands, all right," he told her, "but I dunno how helpful a prey animal like you is gonna be. I mean, most of us would eat an animal like you. And him." His tail flicked from side as he spoke and he gave a small nod as though he was agreeing with himself. Creatures like this were prey, and he was certain that most of the other felines would sooner try to eat them than accept them as allies. Then again... Ronno hadn't been eaten yet. Maybe Dyani was safe after all.
"I'm Kishan, by the way," he said. There probably wasn't any need for Dyani to introduce herself, because he had heard her and Ronno speaking as he strode up to join them. Now all he had to do was ask what kind of services she could provide in favor of the animal villains. She was as good as prey out there. Of course, he would wait to see what she had to say for herself before speaking again.

"Nice to meet you Ronno, I'm Dyani."
"Dyani." Ronno rolled the name off his tongue with a smirk. This was going wonderfully, yes it was. A soft chuckle escaped the buck at the others words before he trotted around her in a circle, it was pretty obvious that he was inspecting her. Her eyes were those most amazing thing about her.
"I came here to join the army, I am in the right place, aren't I?"
"Ye-" He was about to answer her question when a new voice cut him off, he whipped his head around only to find that it belongs to Kishan.
"This is the outlands, all right, But I dunno how helpful a prey animal like you is gonna be. I mean, most of us would eat an animal like you. And him."
The buck's eyes narrowed at the little cat's words. "Hrump! But they haven't!" The male glared at Kishan as he lowered his antlers with an annoyed snort. "Don't scare her off now she just got here! Besides, I'm living proof that a prey animal can survive out here." He snorted indignantly

Dyani's head followed Ronno as he proceed to circle around her, blue eyes following his every move. Her ears swiveled around however, when a new voice was heard, and her head followed. The tiny creature was almost invisible in the dark with it's black fur, but she could easily make out big yellow eyes. She peered down at the tiny feline as he proceed to confirm her question, but also voice speculation about her being part of their army.
Ronno had come to her defense however, as well as his own since the tiny kitten had included him in his speculation. She took a step forward to place herself between Kishan and Ronno, since the buck's antlers could probably skewer the small cat. She dipped her head down to Kishan's level, her ear flicking. "prey animals we may be, but that doesn't mean we can't be valuable members of the army." she rebutted "I'm sure Ronno is a good soldier, and I have plans on joining as a scout, or possibly a medic. Just because we don't have claws or sharp teeth doesn't mean we cant fight and survive in our own ways."
She lifted her head back up and raised a brow at the kitten, a small smile on her face "also, we're deer, not... llamas..." She wasn't even sure what a llama was.

Little Brother walks up next to Kishan. Little Bro smiles at the newcomer. He didn't really go along with Kishan's logic, besides, he was pretty sure, he had seen one of these creatures, during a battle with the pride landers, and he was pretty sure, he might have been a higher up. "Hi, there, welcome to the Outlands, my name is Little Brother, please call me Little Bro. And you are"? Little Bro said friendly. Little Bro knew nothing of Dyani, but, was sure she'd make a really good soldier.

"A medic? You mean like... Someone that'll take care of injuries and stuff? Huh. We haven't had one of those in a while," Kishan said. In fact, he couldn't remember a time when the animal villains had had one to begin with. Ronno didn't intimidate him, either. The young jaguar just looked up at the larger animal and puffed out his chest more in an attempt to look larger than he actually was. So what if he was small? He could still be an intimidating jaguar if he wanted to be. ...Except maybe not really. Whatever the case, though, Kishan intended on standing his ground and waiting to see what would happen.
Evidently, they weren't llamas after all. That explained the lack of fluff they seemed to have. Sure they had some sort of pelt on them, but it wasn't characteristically fluffy like the one llama's he was looking for. Oh well. So he had been mistaken about what sort of prey animals these were. No big deal, he decided. Kishan just shrugged his shoulders a bit and licked his own nose for a moment before speaking again.
"Well, how was I supposed to know? I don't think I've ever seen a deer before. We sure don't get your kind out in the jungle where I'm from," Kishan said. He would have said more, but Little Brother had come up to join them and decided to start speaking. The little jaguar looked from the deer to his friend and smirked a bit. It had been a while since he had seen his friend around. Apparently he had been doing well, though. That much was evident just from the fact that he was standing there and acting as friendly as he would have at any other time. The jaguar's long tail flicked a bit and he seated himself to make himself more comfortable. So far, everything seemed to be going over well.
"This is... Dyani, I think she said her name was? She's gonna be a medic for us," Kishan said.
