I Dare Ya!

"Okay, Okay, I am really sorry. I never would have guessed that you had actually beaten a lion. I am very sorry Mooch but I guess if you say you beat one up then I guess you beat one up." Cadpig said feeling real bad she didn't believe Mooch.

"....Cadpig? Pepper?" A meek, Scottish-tainted voice called out, as Rebecca timidly padded into the small crowd. Having spent most of her day in the MASH tent--"making sure her scars were healing" as Tiana put it--she was eager for some social interaction. PArticularly with her family. Penny....wasn't here, but that was alright: Cadpig and Pepper were very kind and sweet. And that....other dog....was here, too....what was his name....

"....Yer....yer Mooch, right?" Rebecca asked, tilting her head to the side. She hoped she'd gotten his name right; embarrassment was NOT soemthing she wanted at the moment.

Scamp turned at the new voice, seeing the small dalmatian approach. She looked like she had some pretty bad scars - although given his own torn muzzle, he wasn't one to judge based on that. He scratched at his face again - those cursed stitches made it ITCH! - and suceeded in tearing some more of them.
He smiled at the pup. "Who're you?" he asked curiously.

(OOC: I think Tiana needs to fit Scamp with a cone or something XD)

Rebecca jumped, startled with this new pup's approach. She'd never seen him before--granted, she hadn't seen much of the heroes' camp ANYWAY, having spent most of her time tailing Penny, Patch....or being in the MASH tent....

"Oh, ah, my name's R-Rebecca." She answered shyly, smiling at the scruffy pup. "Wha....wha's yer name?"

"The name's Scamp." he replied, giving his mizzle one final hard scratch before lowering his hind leg. "You know Mooch?" he asked, taking a guess from her first words on appraoching. "I'm a friend of his." he added.
He couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy as she joined them. Her whole body, it seemed, was covered with scars. He idly wondered how many battles she must have seen to have collected so many.

Rebecca's blue eyes shifted from "Scamp" to Mooch, then back again. It made sense the two scruffy dogs would be friends. They were both....scruffy. "Oh, no, I uh....only know 'im through my fam'ly." She said, nodding to Cadpig and Pepper. "'aven't really talked to 'im, ya know?" Her tail wagged slightly as she spoke--she rather liked this new pup. He seemed....fun.

Mooch turned to the heart spotted dalmatian. The one that Lucky had made so sad. A cute little thing she was. Mooch lifted his head with a smug smile.

"Oh hey Rebecca," He said with a scoff, "How ya feelin' today, pup? We were just telling everyone here how I fought a lion! When I rescued Tani. Oh and you've met Scamp already, he's my best buddy." Mooch was in a talkative mood for some reason. Tail wagging Mooch gave Dolly another grin. This story had grown since he first told it. He initally didn't have himself fighting the lion but if that's the way the story was going to go...well..who was he to deny it?

Scamp gave her a friendly smile. She certainly seemed nice. "Mooch is pretty cool." he replied, with a nod in the sheepdog's direction. He raised his leg as if to scratch at his stitches again, before thinking better of it and lowering it. He felt his muzzle nervously with his forepaw instead.
Uh oh. Tiana would not be pleased... Ignoring the imprending sense of doom about what she'd say when she saw the torn stitches, he addressed Rebecca again. "I could introduce ya if you wanted?"

(OOC: This goes before Mooch's)

There was no need for introduction, however: before Rebecca could reply, Mooch himself butt into their conversation.

And proceeded to tell a very strange story....


A lion? Rebecca's eyes widened. Mooch fought a lion?

"W....wow, Mooch....tha's....tha's amazin'. I didun' know you were tha' strong." A lion....who would've thought?

She looked to Scamp questioningly, as if silently asking if Mooch was some kind of super-dog.

If he fought a lion, he had to be!

"Heya 'Becky!" exclaimed Pepper who bounded over to her adopted sister. "How ya scars healing up?" she asked examining the pup's scars. "hope they heal soon."

Just as easily as Mooch stole her attention, Pepper took it away again. "Pepper!" She yipped, smiling brightly at the speckled-spotted dog. Finally, she noticed her! "Well, Tiana said they were healin' jus' fine--still canna' train though; they might still get infected...." Her smile faltered. "....but....but tha's okay. I mean, I canna' fight much anyway, so now I c'n at least get ta know some o' the other people here!"

Cadpig wags and notices Rebecca. She trotted over to Rebecca happily. "Hi Rebecca how are you"? Cadpig asked really happy to see Rebecca again.

Wherever Mooch goeth, Dipstick was not far behind. Or at least not usually. He'd lingered over a particularly fine lunch...kibble and steak bits, special treat he gave himself....surely they wouldn't miss a couple extra can of kibble would they now?
He trotted slowly through the rows of tents, licking his lips thoughtfully and savoring the flavor that was still in his mouth. MMmmm mmm mmm, been a while since he ate that good. It was then he spotted the rest of the Dallys bunched up around Mooch..Mooch!! And there was Tripod and....and..Rebecca....

Rebecca. The name, the sight of her, immediately wiped all of the former from his memory. A dreamy look in his eyes, Dipstick trotted straight up to Rebecca, his tail wagging slowly. "H...hey Rebecca um...w-what's going on??"

"Huh?" Scamp spun - to find himself staring at a girl. A very pretty girl. Not to mention a familiar one. All thoughts of 'Tani fled his mind for a long moment.
"Uh, h-hey, Dolly." he stammered. "Heh, haven't seen you in a while." he scratched at his muzzle again, feeling awkward. After all, it wasn't every day your former crush showed up to a war. That had been before 'Tani, before Angel... but something still lingered, deep in his subconciousness.
"Ah, when did you get here?"

"Huh, what?" Mooch's words jerked him out of his dazed stupor. "Whu-you did? When was that?"

Dolly gave a small giggle, eyes batting at Scamp with a small smile. It felt good to see a familiar pup, her curved tail twitching lightly in a small wag. Dolly wasn't ignorant of his crush- that look she used to give her, the tugs he gave on the leash when she rounded the corner on her walks. Course... he seemed more occupied now. A bit different in the way he stared at her- she wasn't quite sure how that sat on her mind.

"Well," she gave off a small laugh, "It sounds like you had quite the adventure." she commented, tilting her maw rather closely to Mooch's, before swiftly withdrawing and turning eyes back on Scamp.

"I came not too long ago." she said finally with a small shrug, "Can't say I didn't miss seeing your face around the neighborhood though." she remarked flirtatiously with a small wink. It seemed Dolly had ignored any doubts made verbal of Mooch's adventure- and didn't quite get around to introducing herself to the new spotted pup either.

Rebecca let the fluffy pup chit chat with Mooch; her family held her attention now. Smiling at Cadpig, she yipped a sincere "hello!" before turning to the pup called Dipstick. "Ah, um, hello, laddie." she greeted, a little shyly. She....didn't know him as well as the others, but he seemed nice enough, so why not be friendly?
