Mheetu looked at the human female with white hair and caught her smile before she turned away. He shuffled his paws nervously, trying to work up the courage to say something to the human. He glanced at Mega, but quickly returned his attention to the human. He wanted to say something so he wouldn't seem like an awkward lion, but nothing would come to mind. He gave up and looked at his paws again. He glanced at her and tried to think of something to say, but he failed again.

Post by Maid Marian on Apr 8, 2012 20:28:53 GMT -5
Maid Marian smiled, glad that things were going so swimmingly with Mirage and Jane. She did feel slightly embarrassed that she knew so little about either to make a proper introduction from, but she still was as happy as a clam. "It certainly is nice to see another kind face around here," she said to Mirage. "Tell me, is your husband here as well?"
She noticed the pale lion Mirage had smiled at. Odds were that they weren't a couple, but the shy fellow certainly seemed a little off balance to be discussing something with the wild menfolk about. She knelt down and gestured invitingly for him to come talk to the women as though he were a pet cat. Despite his white hair, he rather reminded her of her Uncle Richard. "Come now. We don't bite."

Mheetu saw the vixen beckon him forward. He obliged and gave a small smile. "I'm Mheetu. You are?" He looked at her, waiting for her to respond. It was easier talking to another animal, even one that walked on its hind legs. He glanced at the human again and then back to the vixen.

"I'm Maid Marian. I joined the army only recently, but my husband has been here for a while. It's always comforting to see another lion. It reminds me so much of a family back home, though not all of them were quite upstanding."
She smiled tenderly. "So, why are you here, Mheetu? Are you a relative of Simba's? Did he call you here to aide us?"

"Well...wherever your husband is, I hope he turns up soon," Mirage said. She smiled again at the lion, whose name turned out to be Mheetu, as he came over to say hello. "Hello, Mheetu," she said, her green eyes warm and welcoming.

Mheetu smiled at Marian, "I'm, um, Nala's brother. I've lived here since I was born." He stopped and looked at Mirage, "Um, hi." His shyness came over him. He gave a small smile. He was happy that he was making some new friends. He was still shy about them, but it wasn't as bad. He was glad that Mega was there. He watched Mirage and Marian, giving them a small, shy smile.

Post by Jane Porter on Apr 15, 2012 22:20:17 GMT -5
After smiling at the paler lion, Mirage turned her smile to Jane. "Nice to meet you too Jane," she said, shaking the brunette's hand. She looked behind her to Tarzan, who appeared to be a wild man with very unkempt hair. So far, Jane seemed to be the only ordinary person she had met so far - she would have to get used to the diversity of this army. She turned her attention back to Jane. "How long have you been in this war, then?" "Not too long, really." She said honestly. "I've came and gone a few times, but for now I'm here to stay." She said, a slight hint of determination in her eyes. She'd left the heroes too many times. True, she didn't know of how much help she would have been in the first place, but that wasn't an excuse. She wanted to stay, more than that she wanted to help in whatever way she possibly could. She wasn't one for bragging but she was smart, if a little on the scrawny side. There must be something she could do. Seeing the conversation turn to Mheetu she smiled at the young lion. "Hello there, Mheetu." She said nicely. Felines weren't exactly warm and inviting where she came from. However, he seemed like a shy little thing and didn't look like he'd harm a fly. Certainly a nice change of pace.

Looking away from Mirage, he saw Jane. "Um, hi. It's nice to meet you." She seemed liked a nice, gentle human. He smiled shyly and said, "Um, how are you today?" He waited for her reply by glancing at Mirage to make sure he didn't hurt her feelings by talking to Jane. He didn't want to break the friendship that had started to form.

Mirage showed no sign of offence by Mheetu's switch of attention, only smiled at him again when he glanced at her. She rather liked this lion's temperament, she had decided. He was shy, and seemed sweet. Although she'd never thought she'd be thinking this about a lion, she thought that she'd found a possible friendship in the gentle giant of a feline.
