Post by Colonel Hathi on Aug 25, 2013 10:52:32 GMT -5
(October 20th. I'm bored. This is a battle for animal villains and heroes.)
Hathi tossed his head back and forth, scraping at the ground and lifting his trunk. The bull elephant was angry, furious and ready to charge. He wanted to hook a human on his tusks but the heroes were mostly animals as far as he saw. His trunk whipped upwards as he let out a loud trumpet.
He pressed towards the group of gathered heroes. The battle had spilled into the rainy grasslands where the dew dribbled onto the newly grown grasses. The rainy season was beginning shortly, and despite the elephant being from India he could recognize the signs of the changing seasons.
"Alright, you slaves of man!" He huffed at the animals from the human side. "Have at you!"

Proud pug was ready for anything, even battling those who had abandoned him, it would not be easy but even he knew that. The wet grass on his paws was something he would need to get used to again, but he felt better just being on the grass rather than at the outlands. His dark eyes narrowed, he was ready to fight any who came in his way.
Human or animal. It mattered not. He would show the other animals he was no weakly house pet anymore. Hold his head up high, he charged into the battlefield

Truth be told, Tod didn't quite know what he was doing on the battlefield. The chances he could encounter Copper were high by that point. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, though. He could just preoccupy himself with another animal villain and hope for the best. So, the fox scanned the surrounding area for a foe he could handle without a problem. The elephant was ruled out straight away. Tod wasn't suicidal by any means, and he didn't have any intention of going toe to toe with an elephant, and so he decided to steer clear of that particular villain. Who, then, could he go after?
Tod's eyes fell on Percy before long and he had to blink a couple of times. That had to be one of the smallest dogs he had ever seen in his life, the pups around camp not withstanding, and he had a good feeling he could handle him. So, the fox darted forward with his teeth beared and ready to bite some part of the little dog when he got close enough.
---
Almost immediately, Dug regretted his decision to come at all. The pudgy golden retriever wasn't a fighter. He was too nice! But there he was, standing on the battlefield, and he had left himself open to any attack. Dug considered turning tail and running straight back to the Pridelands, but he couldn't make his paws move in that direction. He had decided to stay put. Whether or not this was a good decision could only be determined in time.
---
A blur of black streaked across the terrain, rushing past Hathi and intending to tussle with someone. Kishan had come to fight and he wasn't about to back down straight away. The only problem was finding someone to fight. It looked like the fox from the heroes side was already occupied, and the golden retriever didn't look like he would be worth it, so Kishan had to keep looking. There had to be someone worthy of fighting him.

Percy was ready for the fox's move. He was not expecting it to move so quickly. He had barely moved, feeling the teeth of fox hit his small back leg. He flinched, but did not show weakness. That would not be allowed. No sir. Releasing a growl from his throat, Percy aimed to scratch the fox's face with his small claws. Though it might not be powerful, at least it might be enough to have the animal release his leg.
--- Another battle, something he was not ready for in the slightest. To Wilbur, it seemed like the battle had come out of nowhere. It wasn't something that he should have expected but at least a little warning could have been nice. However, there had been none. Honey brown eyes scanned the field, Tod was attacking a small pug, and Dug was looking confused. Maybe the boy should assist the golden animal?
His eyes fell on a panther, he was not sure he could handle the creature like that. It looked more dangerous than the other animals so far on the field, well, besides the elephant.

Post by Mulan on Aug 27, 2013 0:44:37 GMT -5
Kit out in her full armour, sword at her side, the Pridelands' newly-appointed general stepped onto the battkefield and frowned. Truth be told, the girl was starting to think that these battles where everyone fought each other but no side really accomplished anything weren't worth much. In the war back home, she and the others had only ever fought the Huns in defense of the Emperor and the Imperial City - the two sides had never clashed just for the sake of it as the armies here so often seemed to. Shouldn't a battle be waged over territory, or resources, not just because some soldiers felt like brawling with the other side?
Nonetheless, the Chinese girl had headed out to the battlefield to oversee the troops involved in this current fight. So far, the enemy amounted to an elephant, a small dog and some sort of kitten/cub. On her side, a fox, a larger dog, and a teenage boy. Again, Mulan frowned. Did the boy even have a weapon? Even if he did, he seemed a couple of years too young to be on the battlefield - as though that had stopped anyone else this war. She made a mental note to keep any eye on him.
The small dog was already tussling with the fox, and Mulan had no illusions that she would be able to handle the elephant on her own; that left her either to fight the small jaguar or to wait for more of the enemy to show themselves.
(ooc: Think I'm a bit rusty writing this girl? I'll try and get back into the swing of writing her, though)

Tramp groaned as he heard Hathi's trumpeting challenge. He'd had no desire to get involved in any battles, but, unfortunately, one had found him, and it was too late to back out now. Thankfully, Danielle wasn't present. Or Dixie or Cash, for that matter. He had no desire to face any of them. Not on the battlefield. So, the grey mutt rose to his feet, not far from the armored woman, and stretched, gathering his wits as best he could, senses alert for any attacks.
---
Tanglemane once again set foot onto the battlefield. Only this time, he had a personal reason for being there. His eyes swept across the animals gathered against them, and came to rest on the elephant. He'd encountered the same windbag in the frozen pass some weeks ago. And since none of the other animals would be able to give him a challenge, he figured the elephant would have to be his target. He glanced over at Mulan. "Shall we have a go at the elephant?"

Post by RIP Vakasa on Aug 28, 2013 14:19:50 GMT -5
Vakasa prayed that this battle would go better than the last one he was in when he went to London. The large, soot colored gorilla walked onto the battlefield. From the corner of his eye, he spotted the small pug he had met on the training day, and someways away, the large Indian elephant known as Hathi. Vakasa then spotted a large, pudgy Golden Retriever just standing there.
Hmm, an easy target the great ape thought to himself. Then he turned to look at a young boy looking at Kishan. That would not do, nope. As far as Vakasa knew, that little cub was a friend of Sage's and the gorilla guessed she would be pretty upset if something bad happened to him. So, with a roar, Vakasa charged towards Wilbur.

"CALUSA?! CALUSA?!"
Scar's worst possible soldier had managed to find himself in the middle of the battlefield. The poor immature male had been grazing, at Calusa's request, alone in the grasslands when he's spotted a large king cobra slithering in the dust. Taking off with a yelp he'd gotten himself terribly lost. Spotting Hathi, he decided to follow, hoping the elephant was heading back to where his sister was.
Unfortunately that wasn't the case.
The less than graceful male now was dodging animal and human attacks. He was making loud obnoxious whimpering sounds, head lowered as he ran blindly through the brush.
And ran smack dab, antlers first into an aging lion.

"Chinook?" Scar's not-so-great-but-extremely-handsome warrior found himself in the middle of chaos. Outlanders vs. Pridelanders, today. But Karus wasn't here to lend a helping hoof. He followed Chinook's hoofprints, occasionally dodging a hungry predator. "Where are you, Chinook? We're gonna miss the meteorites!" Karus continued running as fast as his long legs could carry him. What if Chinook was already-? What if one of those lions-? No, no! Karus shook his head. He can't think like that. Chinook's gonna be ok. He has to be!
Sure enough, Karus found Chinook's antlers pressed against a lion. "There you are! I thought I'd find you lollygagging here. You had me worried sick!" he scolded. "You're sleeping in the meadow tonight, mister! Geez, just look at my hooves; they're as chipped as Ronno's teeth. That's what I get for running through a field of lions! You owe me a manicure. But first things first-" Karus turned to glare at Tanglemane. "-let me take care of this lion for you. No one touches my Chinook and gets away with it. Things are about to get dirty."

But quickly, his confidence lowered when he heard the angry roar and saw Vasaka charging towards him. What was he meant to do? This animal was way bigger than him and probably way stronger than him. But all he could do was fight back right? Not that bad? Plus, with any luck he might only end up with a few broken bones. "yeah, dream on Wilbur." he thought outloud before running to meet Vasaka head on, blade ready

The old lion had been glancing at Mulan, waiting for a response when a horrible noise interrupted him. As he looked around, looking for whoever seemed to be dying when a pair of antlers jabbed themselves into the side of his neck and shoulder, tugging at the arrowhead still tangled in the snarled mass of his mane. He snarled in anger as he turned his head, a bit surprised to see a deer. And such a small one, at that.
Before he could deal with the creature, another deer appeared. Tanglemane eyed the newcomer with contempt. As if he'd be so easy to take care of! He was over three times the size of either of them. His eyes narrowed, and his claws extended as he looked them both over.
"You? By yourself? You must be joking," he snorted. Then he took a quick swipe at the smaller deer, aiming at its throat with his claws before leaping forward at the larger, bolder deer, claws outstretched, aiming at the creature's face and chest.

"I didn't mean to Karus, I was just grazing! Puh-puh-please don't let him kill me!"
It was all he got out before he got his mane untangled from the lion's own pelt. He yelped as Tanglemane slashed at his throat, tearing at fur with old claws and hitting flesh. Blood soaked but didn't pour. He'd hit him but not enough to kill the tiny male. His ears folded back, tears freely flowing from his eyes. His mouth parted as he let out a pathetic cry. Where was Calusa? Karus was great, even if he kept talking about them together strangely and he made Chinook's insides bubble but Calusa was always there for him. He wanted his sister right then and there.
Chinook stumbled over his own hooves and fell to the side, watching as the lion aimed for Chinook. "Kuh-kuh-Karus! L-l-look out!"

Ahh, the Grasslands. Now this was more like it, this was Tuk's kinda place. Well maybe without the lions and fighting soldiers. Still even then it was much better then the barren land that was the Outlands. The brown buck had followed the rest of Scar's troops when they left to battle with Simba's, Tuk had thought that it was about time he put his antlers to use after having nothing but termites to clash with.
Black hooves flattened the grass as he trotted around looking for a suitable target, however he was distracted as a rather high pitched cry entered his ears. He knew that voice...
Oh no! Chinook!
With a silent prayer that the younger male was okay, Tuk picked up his pace until he was sprinting in the direction the sound had come from. He soon spotted the smaller buck on the ground while Karus was going antlers to claws with a large male lion. Ignoring the two fighting animals, Tuk rushed to Chinook's side, seeing the wound on his neck Tuk's sunset eyes widened and he lowered his head to inspect the wound. It wasn't as deep as it looked.
"What're ya doin' out 'ere, Chinook?" He asked him as he raised his head once more to it's full height. "Ya should know betta 'en ta go runnin' off on ya own." He then turned his eyes to glare at the lion and Karus, more notably the lion. He had the mind to jump in should Karus need help, but for now, Tuk's mind was set to stay by Chinook and protect him if anything should try to attack him in his weakened state.

Vakasa's orange eyes narrowed into slits upon seeing the boy's blade. He had faced whips before back at the circus, and guns back when he was kidnapped, but never blades and swords. But here he was charging head long towards one. He had to think fast or risk being speared. As the gorilla charged, he saw a good sized rock which he scooped up in his meaty hand and promptly hurled at the raven haired boy, praying for a direct hit.

The long-furred canine stepped out a few paces onto the battlefield, not knowing exactly where to go. It had been quite a while since she had last participated in a battle, but she was ready for the oncoming bloodbath this battle was likely to result in. Bright blue eyes scanned the surrounding area, looking for an opponent that wouldn't be sure to get her killed. That was easier said than done.
A raging elephant could be spotted nearby. No way, Peg would have had to be crazy to even think she could take that beast on, even with the help of the soldiers that appeared to be advancing towards the pachyderm. She spotted a few deer close by as well, but from what the mutt could tell, most of them were already engaged in a battle of their own. Peg didn't have the heart to even try to attack the small cub. She just couldn't do that to a child.
The creamy-coloured female took a deep breath and continued her search, waiting for an opponent to reveal itself.
